No More Ads on News Page for Premium Users

When I upgraded the site earlier this year, GTPlanet Premium users were unfortunately presented with advertisements on our home page's news blog. Today, I'm happy to announce that I have modified the software myself to prevent this from occurring any longer, and Premium users can now enjoy an ad-free experience across the site (ads on Guides pages will be removed very soon, although I doubt many of you frequent those pages). Please accept my apologies it has taken this long to implement this functionality!
 
Thanks Jordan :) 👍, it nice to see it ad free now! and its also good to see the news section updated so regularly (I remember years ago you saying that it was a pain to update due to the previously implemented software).

Was just wondering though, the 'join us' yellow box is still at the top of the page even if your registered, is that built into the page?

Yes, it used to be quite a pain to update, but the new system has proven to be great. 'Blog posts' draw a lot more links from other sites than forum threads do, and traffic to that section of the site has grown substantially (my latest article, for example, landed on the front page of N4G). :) Now, the biggest challenge is just trying to keep up with everything!

It's built into the templates. Yes, I could wrap it in a conditional statement now that I've modified the software, but I probably won't bother with that until I redesign the blog layout.
