No more chat in Lobbys (Rooms)

Hi,

Is there no more chat when you host a lobby or race room ? Last night I had a room open for Special Route X at one point there was about 10 or 12 of us in the room. I could not hear anyone's voice is this a change from Gran Turismo 5 and 6 ?

PS4 is designed to use the Party Chat feature from the main ps4 hub (you just have to invite your friends to the party chat). there is no lobby based chat any longer in game.

Some people use Discord which seems to be popular as well since you can control it outside of the PS4 (ie on cellphones and such).
