Is there away to change the number of AI in Practice mode?? Also is it possible to change where you start in the grid?
I'm trying to max my x2011 and I want another 15 x2011 in the race and I want to start at the back!

GT5 practice does not have a lot needed features. I wish It had more I use it every time I play.

But GT online helps, pity it has so many bugs and freeze in online lobby.. damn..
GT is very unfinished.. and damn I love that game, physics with G27 is epic.

Nope.

Personally, I would like it a lot if you could do a free run offline with the ability to select 15 other cars that would cruise along with you.

So many simple things are NOT in the game and that's a shame.

Sadly not.

I like the fact that in the one-make race on custom tracks, you start in the back.

But on the regular tracks, it's always mid-grid.
