I tried searching for this but was unable to find anything on this topic, either due to awkward search keywords or me being the first one to have this happen to them.

I just got 2nd place in the Corvette race on the Indy road course and got 0 credits paid out. This was my first time doing the race and I didnt pay attention to whether my XP went up or not. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering if I get first place whether I'll get the entire payout for the race, but I'm not even sure how I can do that, seeing as how i just used the C6 RM and still finished 20 seconds behind the Camaro SS...

Go into the event and look at the "rewards" for each position. If 1st is still white and not greyed out you will get it. Also if the others are white and not greyed out you should get them too, maybe this is a sign of changes happening in the background?

HOW???? you should damn near lap the field with that.

that and they said they are going to drastically reduce the credit and exp payouts after january... and since this is february now...

yeah, you're probably hosed

I think i got screwed somehow...

It doesn't even register that I ran the race on my log.

Either I really am that bad or it was due to the massive amounts of traction problems I am having with that car (741 hp). I've never used it outside of grinding the Indy race for 117k Cr so I'm gonna blame it on that. I'll be embarrassed if I really am that bad, as I've played since the Japanese version of GT1 on a chipped PS1...

Sounds to me like a sign of changes being made in the background as iNiff said. Interesting; I hope they don't change the Seasonals' payout, I'm ok with them reverting all other race rewards back to what they were but the 3.5 million (wasn't it 4 million a couple of weeks ago?) I get every week goes a long way to my 1,000 car garage without having to resort to buying a load of karts.

Well...its pretty discouraging, to say the least. That means I gotta run Indy about 12 times to make up that cash. I better leave the first place finish there for now, just in case.

Yeah, that would be the best idea I'd say. You could get Bob to B-Spec the Dream Car Championship, yeah it's more time than doing 50 laps of Indy but you don't have to do anything...

Had you already run the race once before? Remember, if you don't improve on your previous best you won't get anything.

*snip*

It only registers wins in races.

You're not at the 20m cap are you?

Sounds like you got bugged hard.

But why would the race prizes have droppedto roughly a third of their original levels? That suggests that the issue goes beyond bugginess...

OP, I've just done the same race in the same car (having previously finished 2nd), and got my extra Cr.330k for the win...

I second that question, i just checked the Indy race in American Championship and 1st place is still 117k. The rewards havent gone down yet. I hope when you go to win it, that it still gives you the full amount

Nope...was my first time running any of the races in Seasonal 6.

I think you are misinterpreting what I meant. I was saying that I was hoping that I wouldnt only end up with 330k (1st place prize) after finally getting first, since I didnt get any credits for my 2nd to last place prizes. The total prize is still 1.5M or whatever it says on the screen.

It only registers wins in races.

Well...I went back through my log and checked for the C6 RM and I havent really used it much in the past couple days (no Indy grinding). I can see where I bought the Schwimmwagon or whatever for the 1st race of Seasonal 5 and I dont move on to the next seasonal week until I finish the week that is in danger of ending.

Hahaha...not even close. I blew 3.5 million on the BMW McLaren F1 last night...only had 14k in the bank, which is why I was so shocked when I got back to the GT Life screen and 14k was staring me in the face.

Gonna go and re-run the race now, after turning the power down in hopes that increased traction will erase my embarrassing inability to catch the Camaro with a power advantage.

EDIT: I have no idea why, but I cant run faster than a 1:38 with racing hards. Turned the power down from 747 to 681 and it didnt help. This car is completely untuned except for downforce and tranny ratio, as I only use it for Indy grinding. I really dont know why this is so hard...I was able to run 1:27s with the R35 in the SS5 Seasonal 1 challenge. Not using any aids except ABS 1. Traction seems to be a major issue still. I guess I'll have to try this on Sunday. Have work at 9am, its currently 4:30am AND I have to drive to Vegas tomorrow so I better go to sleep...

Dude, use racing Soft not Hard

What is the end date listed for the event? Chances are that even though the new events aren't posted, that if you didn't make the event deadline you can still run it but get no reward.

Once it's past the end date, you can't run the race.

And the end date is next Wednesday (Feb. 9th)

OP: Anybody else in your house use your PS3? Maybe somebody else ran it for you. Or maybe you were drunk and don't remember (assuming you are of age to drink)?

OK...back from Vegas and bought Racing Softs...won it on the first try easily. However, I only received 330k and the corresponding amount of XP for first so I got screwed it seems.

No one else in the house uses my PS3. I havent drank or smoked in days, so I already ruled out that possibility. The only other thing I can think of is that I did have to re-log in to PSN twice later that session for no reason. Must have been the internet disconnecting right when the race ended or something. Oh well...
