I had my hopes up so high that GT4 would have at least one car with a Quad 4 in it. (If you dont know what a quad 4 is, its a 4cyl engine oldsmobile came up with in the late 80's, and they are very nice, every car i have ever owned has had one, read here http://hotrod.com/techarticles/73858/ http://www.quad4forums.com ). It would be nice to really fix one up in the game and be able to drive one in real life, and in GT4. Sorry to ramble, just had too let out some steam.......

The only Quad-4 that would really deserve to be in would be the Aerotech I and Aerotech II concepts.

Deserver???

So a honda civic can be in but not an Olds Calais w41?? I know my w41 calais will eat any stock civic any day, in all conditions.... Not sure what your trying to say......

I wouldnt care much for having an Aerotech in there, after all, when they were done with that motor it wasnt really a Quad 4 anymore, the point is i want my w41 calais in there, they are very sweet cars, and are quite rare, and if you owned one you would feel the same way, trust me..

I don't recall saying the Honda Civic was really needed in GT4 either, but it's not my choice.

The Aerotechs however hold major historical signifigance (held quite a few records for sometime), and there are plenty of other Oldsmobiles that would be much better suited to GT4 then the old Quad4 bunch.

And no I wouldn't really call the old Quad4s much to shake a stick at, considered my base model Alero has just as much power from an engine of roughly the same size as the base Quad4.

Was the Aerotech the car in that charlie sheen movie. It was a really cheesy one made in the 80's about a kid who comes back from the dead and ravages the tuner kids who killed him. His does it by racing them and making them crash. I remember hearing something about that car being a land speed atempt by a major manufacturor.

No, that was a Dodge concept car. The Oldsmobile Aerotech and Aerotech II was driven by AJ Foyt to world records in top speeds for using a 4-cylinder engine. It was capable of over 260mph.

Your alero probly has the quad 4 in it ( only they call it a 2.4 "Twin Cam" now, pretty much the same motor, many parts are interchangeable). The 2.4 is 150hp, and the base 2.3 is 160hp('89 and up). I was mainly talking about the w41 quad 4. 190hp 2.3 n/a motor. All im saying is i wish there was one in there, IMO it does deffinetly deserve its spot in gt4. I mean, how many cars made in 1991 with a 4cyl were pulling low 14's in the 1/4 mile stock? Not very many if any other than the w41 Calais..
