no rules brand racing bonus EXTRA race - top speed in any german car

after the drag strip i figured there'd be room for another bonus race ...

you'll have 3 days to post the highest top speed in any german car.
no cheating but otherwise (as usual) no rules for this bonus extra race.
it'd be nice if everybody would use the topspeed function in test course but since this is no rules i can't force anyone to do so. proofing your speed would be more difficult tho.
in the 300mph club you're not allowed to make wheelies, but in this competition you may do so!

the winner will get as many points as there are submissions for this extra round.
the runner up will get half that number of points, rounded up if uneven.
number three will get one point. all others will receive no points.

your top speed must be posted IN MPH in this thread before 31 oktober 19.00cet.

my first topspeed 559.75km/h=347.81mph with the Sauber C9

second try with a R8 572.94km/h=356.01mph

Wow how do you go that fast? I can only get just over 300MPH.

Never mind, I went and took a look at GTvault
and I found a setup I think might work.
 
I have my Speed.
I used the Sauber and my speed was 354.59.

And James says he'll post his speed later, and he says hi. Be afrid...VERY afrid:scared:!
 
Heres my top speed for you guys, AUDI R8 359.41 mph, I will try again later to beat 363 mph but thats if I have time.
 
But it need to be in MPH, not Km/h.
Anyways here is my top speed,

Audi R8(fast car is'nt)/366.74

And I have a picture to show I got that speed:D.

EDIT retried and came to 359.05 - only .36 away from imraan.

the following drivers have - regretfully - been deleted from the participants list because they have not posted one single lap since the beginning of the tournament: daddy-o, derek, jaymes, patrick, steffen and tim.
very sad but apparently real life has kicked in for them ...
this also means that, since we are now with only 16 drivers left, the winner of race 5 and 6 receives only 16 points, 15 for #2, etc.
 
Tried it for 5 minutes but could exceed 413 km/h (about 250 mph), so I gave up pretty immediately.
 
i guess you mean, cyril, could NOT exceed. didn't know you were so fanatic in the typo competition business my friend.
if you ever need advice on topspeed settings just say the word.

btw i really unlike your new avvie. what's the deeper meaning of it?
 
Yeah, I meant '...not exceed'. I had set the auto 25 but hadn't touched the different gear ratios.

There are 64 such green frogs, aka Kerotans, scattered all through the game in MGS3, and you can unlock a strealth camouflage when you manage to shoot all of them. That's why I'm currently in the russian jungle busy hunting kerotans :D
 
if you want to set some serious speed you must alter the downforce, lsd and chassis settings seriously, otherwise you get stuck to 250 - LOL.

strealth - is that a russian word or som', or is it one for the typo comp again?

still don't understand what's so great about jungling and shooting and searching and stuff. want to give it a try?
 
Another typo of course. I should have written stealth.
I can spend as much time crawling through the jungle and avoiding guards as I can spend trying to nail an apex.

well, darren, the pointing system is based on the number of participants. i decided to broom through the list of racers and found that 6 of them never entered one lap. so the list was shortened to 16 which means the max number of points also needed adjustment.
anyway, its more the points difference that matters for the ranking, and the difference remains 1 all the time. so none of the top racers will benefit or loose by this adjustment now will they?

Driver 1 wins races 1 and 2 = 40 points. 👍
Driver 2 wins races 3 and 4 = 40 points. 👍

No biggie...I just wouldn't want this tourney ending up with someone moaning they didn't win the championship because they scored less points for positions that would have earned them more points earlier on in the championship.

Me. I don't give a crap what the points are like. Just as long as some one get them. The only reason I'm saying anything is because it's so late in the race's that it's not going to matter.
But whatever you deside go's I gusse.

i noticed this, too
but it only makes a difference when someone didnt take part in all races

for example:
i only got 20 points (instead of 22 points) at race 3
and if i had gotten 2 points more, all the other drivers would have too
it would´n make a difference ;)

I love the Toyota GT-ONE, it's the first car I drove on GT3.
And the first track I drove on was Trial Mountan.
