Stewart film canned over false affair storyline

Although it's nice to see a lady acting like one, how pathetic from the movie makers is this?

If Patrick Dempsey goes for a "Le Mans" remake, to follow the footsteps of his own idol, I suspect he won't get the green from any studio unless he has sex with his co-driver 's girlfriend while said co-driver is doing his night triple stint, gets emotionally attached to the daughter of the Race Director and prevents the suicide of the rival's wife that finds out her hubby cheats.
 
Why can't people ever just do things as they were?

That's bollocks. What's so freaking interesting about secret affairs that they have to be forced into every possible movie in existence? 👎
 
They add cheap drama where the writers haven't got the ability to write a decent story without it.
 
Ugghh just realised this is the Cevert film. Largely disappointing. :/

Yeah, because the real Cevert getting killed just before Stewart's last race wasn't enough drama. Among things like Roger Williamson's crowning moment of suck for F1 racing, some snot-nosed kid (who'd eventually get is own movie) being a rising star, driver-versus-track-versus-team-versus-wayward-car struggles, and all that jazz wasn't enough.

Good for Helen, honestly.
