NO SLEEP!! 24 HOUR LEMANS to be in GT4?

Hiya! :D :O :lol: Meow! (='.'=)

I hope from reading information about 24 Hour Lemans, I can be correct about this.

24 Hour Lemans! A continous race for 24 HOUR STRAIGHT!!! :scared: Do you guyz think you can handle a nonstop race for 24 HOURS? Its not about the who finishes a certain number of laps first, but about how many laps you can do before that 24 hour ends.

IF 24 Hour Lemans race is to be included in GT4...:O How would you guyz think it will be placed in?

I would just luv to see the faces of some if PD actually made it where YOU CANT SAVE DURING THE RACE AT ALL!!!! :OO Only pauses for restroom breaks and going to school, but imagine your PS2 running nonstop for 24 hours or more...think your precious PS2 can handle its own Lemans race? :O:O:O

But the above statement seem tooooo cruel....:O:O:O I think it would be best incorperated with the ability to save during the race so you can turn off your PS2 and do other important things and it would sure be easier to do the race in parts/section rather than a WHOLE!!!:O:O So wut do you GTplaneteers think about this?

I hope I got the right idea of 24 hour Lemans :O:O
 
No I do not think GT4 will include 24hrs. Unless they're thinking about the people with no lives...

This is quite true.

I like GT4. But I do have a life. Like school, and sports.
 
sometimes me and my brother would do half of an endurance race each. just like in real life in gt3. I'd go into the pits and hand him the controler and a new set of tires. those things were so long... the cool thing though is by the end of the endurance race you have probably become a pro w/ that car. Its gonna be even more fun in gt4 w/ fuel.... they do have fuel... right?

Also a 24hr race would become boring after the 3rd hour. But Darin might like it. He'd love it if it were at the Nurb.:)
 
If there was a 24 hour race I would expect it to be online. I mean, the AI offline would have to be teh perfect for a race that long! If I was to race 24 hours, I would like to do it online but I kind of doubt I could do a race that long.
 
As long as i'm in this house there's no way i'd be online for 24hrs.
 
I wouldn't mind the 24 race. Maybe they could make the ability to save during a pit stop so you can load it back up later.

Le mans?? the right thing for me is a sort of (mini) endurances of 100 laps// 2 hours and the possibility to save the game inside the long and winding road of le mans.
 
I can't wait to race the Le mans in gt4. I'm sure it will be in. The Nurb and the Le mans will be the primary tracks for my skill building :)
 
nurbur.. and le mans...it's something very different from racing not real locations tracks.
do you think pd shoud improve that damn engine sound especially (for example) during the replays?
 
Amazingly I was just about to post the same thread, after watching abit of the LeMans on Nurburguring(sp?) on Speed. :drool: I can't wait!
 
Some one PLEASE stop McLaren'sAngel from being able to use emotes. 24 hours le-mans would only be good if you could save, changing weather, and time etc
 
ain't gonna happen. You will never get an actual 24 hour race in a video game, esepcially a video game not called 'lemans 24hr". You might get a longer enduro race, say 500 laps. But any race over the current enduros will have to have the option to save during the race so that you can return later.

Obviously.

I'd really like to see in racing would be if your racing for lets say about 3 hours(long endurance), when you start it should be early morning and by the end the lights would be on and it would be night out, that would look über crazy. 👍
 
I'd rather club myself over the head with a blunt object than do a single player 24h enduro, save or no save. An online 24h of Nurburgring or Le Mans would kick complete ass, as long as online driver changes were possible.
 
I don't think a 24hr race could hold my interest unless saves were possible. Even then I dont know if it would to be very fun. I think the 1-2hr+ races in GT3 were enough for me.

Hmmmm looks to me that a 24 Hour Lemans race doesnt seem popular :( :O Unless it have some save spots like in the pit like some said and I think it will work! :O It seems to me that you boyz are intimidated by the "24 Hour" :O:O:O:lol: 24 Hours sure is a loooooooong time to keep your hands on the controller and to play several hours a day and cant exit the race or else you lose.

Maybe if the prize for winning the 24 Hour LeMans is actually like "OMG I WANT THAT CAR(s) SO BAD!" would you actually do it? :O PD could make the 24 Hr Leman a requirement to obtain special cars, but beating 24 Lemans shouldnt be included to get 100% complete. The special prize could be like....

24h would be cool online. But single player would be too much. You can't race against six AIs for 24 hours. Six people isn't enough to fulfil a 24h race. It would be fun, it would be challenging, but it would be stupid. I think 99 laps at the ring is enough for me ;)

Have some respect. You cannot stop her from using her emotions and I cannot either, so get over it. She has the right of using whatever she wants. It is just like Famine typing in his own little color. If you do not like it then you can either ignore the posts made by her or just try to get over it.

I also do not really like all the emotion she uses. Especially the blushing one, if you really blush that much talking to people, I think there is something wrong. Ha-ha.

Anyways Mclaren do whatever you want. Don’t let any of us change you.

Heh, who's kitten is cuter? Only joking, Miss McLaren. So our "fragile bunny," the McLaren F1-loving McLaren'sAngel wants to know about if the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be in GT4. And who better to ask than someone who's played two games featuring the Le Mans endurance classic, myself. So I'm going to talk about this issue the best way I can. You ready? Here goes.

McLaren'sAngel, have you ever played the 2001 game "Le Mans 24 Hours" on the PS2? Have you played the Le Mans race if so? Le Mans 24 Hours is so detailed. I think the physics and such are... accurate. There's one thing you'll have to be concerned with, and that is trying to get it in all accurately. The 24th weekend of the year (as I hear) is when the Le Mans endurance classic comes up. It will be in June before the Summer Equinox. So it means that nighttime will be shorter, and daylight will be longer. The race starts at 4PM on Saturday and goes into 4PM on Sunday. My main concern is something I normally don't give a lot of consideration about- the graphics. I don't know if PD can implement a wonderful system to be more like "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City." Prepare to see a future topic on it, but I'd like to see the skies with beautiful, deep blue skies, have the sun go down like in LM24H and Vice City. Then the game will have to turn on the headlights for when darkness comes along. So let's say that it gets dark around 9PM or 10PM French time. The cars would automatically have their lights on. In my "Lighting and Night Racing" topic, I discussed more realistic nighttime, as well as wonderful lighting for the track as well as from the cars. GT4 will feature lovely graphics nonetheless. My only concern is, can it render a 24-hour period like GTA: Vice City? Vice City also adds clouds that can also go into rain, so if GT4 can implement that, rain racing is going to be even more hectic. Just look at Le Mans 2001.

So to answer your question, McLaren... I think it will happen, I don't know if GT4 will have that sort of capability. But, I have my faith in PD. If it can happen, more power to PD. If not, at least you can emulate the McLaren F1 winning Le Mans in 1995, Lady McLaren.
