No steering

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I desperately need help! I have ordered a new DFGT wheel and it works fine apart from the fact that it won't steer. So I have switched to my DS3 joypad but it won't steer as well! I need help with this ASAP as I cannot drive with no steering!
 
Is your "chosen input device" (wheel or DS3) set to controller no.1 in the xmb before loading the game?
 
The DS3 is set as controller 1. I'm heading back on GT5 to see if steering returns. All other functions work: accelerator, brake, horn, look-back etc. It's just that the car doesn't turn.
EDIT: My car steers now. Let's hope I don't get any more of those troubles when I get my wheel working!
 
Be sure to start your game with just the wheel on. For me I got weirdness if I switched between controller and wheel while in game.
 
I start my game with just ds3, if I start with wheel on I can't use the ds3 unless I reset it as controller 1. If I start with ds3, my controller and wheel both work fine.

Make sure it is plugged into USB port #2 .. Instead of the first slot.

Just a question, but isn't it said, in the manual, to plug it into the first port, or is that only the T500 manual that says that?

Sounds like it's not working "fine". :lol:

Did you connect everything correctly, including the power cord? It needs to be connected at some point after game start up to calibrate the steering.

The DS3 can do everything in game when the wheel is plugged in to the PS3 except steering. It also never interferes with my wheel unless one of the buttons is pressed.

I'm not sure what it says in the owners manual. If you look around the forum a lot of people will tell you same thing about the DFGT.. I know mine doesn't work correctly when plugged in the first port.
 
my DFGT is plugged into port 1 via a hub and no issues. My DS3 won't work unless I unplug the wheel, regardless of controller settings. Fortunately this is a non issue for me as I can't use the pad at all(uncoordinated)
