I enjoy setting up cars as replicas of the real world counterparts. I recently set up a Camaro ZL1.
To duplicate the real world car, I needed to add a supercharger, FC suspension, FC Transmission, and LSD.
These parts should add weight to the car. They didn't, so I had to add more than 80Kg of ballast. And I can't put it where it really needs to go because it's just one big lump.
Other items that should increase a car's weight are: FC Transmission, Chassis reinforcement, and body kits.
On the other hand, some parts should reduce the car's weight. Items like Lightweight flywheel and carbon fiber driveshaft weigh less than stock components. Custom wheels ought to weigh less than stock units too.
In fact, carbon fiber driveshafts (aluminum too) actually increase rear wheel horsepower.
I think PD should have added this dimension to the car tuning calculations. It may be too late to change GT5, but I would like to see these changes in GT6.
