Nokia N-Gage Help

My friend recently bought a Nokia N-Gage, today we were trying to put music files off his computer onto his N-Gage, when we installed all the proper programs and then connected the n-gage via USB, the computer wasn't able to recognize it. It wouldn't show that it was connected, what were we doing wrong?

My mate has one. I'll ask him what he does, but I think he just records it manually.
One thing I will say is that he has had a few problems with it and recentley had to send it back because of a software program i think.

The recording quality isn't very good, you can only record upto 1 minute.

I've heard that when all things are considered, the N-Gage is actually something akin to a big steaming pile of poo. Is that fair?
