Non-FM4 Fanatec CSR Elite?

Hi Thomas,

I will like to ask if there is any plan for a non FM4 CSR Elite wheel going forward.

It sure feels strange looking at an FM4 icon on GT5 or any other games personally.

Given how the Elite range already seems quite upmarket, I find it hard to imagine a better range like the Clubsport wheel which has been rumoured.

Currently own a GT3RSV2 and CSP pedals, can't wait for the CSP shifter and the next high end wheel.

Keep up the good work.

not trying to sound sarcastic but have you considered making your own badge/emblem or something to cover up the FM logo? Or are you hoping for a wheel branded with GT5 or other games in particular or a simply clean wheel with no badge?

Hi,

Why would you think it would be sarcastic? Was thinking more in the line of the Logitech G series wheel.

As much as I enjoy the GT3RSV2, it would have been nice if it was purely a generic wheel with no Porsche artwork on it.

There is not a need for a GT5 branded wheel since the T500RS already suffice. Basically, stuff like FREX or ECCI have no "allegiance" of sorts and for the right price, Fanatec's new wheels could really do well.

Cheers

Well mate, if you own a Fanatec GT3 it has the Porsche logo on it and if you are a GT5 player, yo don't get to drive a Porsche (not sure if a RUF has Porsche or RUF badge).
Personally if I would acquire the Fanatec CSR, I would do what Patrocles said: just make something to cover the FM4 logo.
By the way, do you guys think that this isn't for now the "clubsport wheel"? I don't think it would make too much sense to have 2 wheels on a similar category within a short period of time

Exactly my sentiments mate, which is why I hope I can prevent that in the next upgrade.

CSR sounds like Clubsport Racing and because the CSP is done so well the CS range now seems to be titled wrongly. In either case, I would be happy with a CSR Elite wheel to match the CSP but yeah, really looking forward to the shifter.

thanks!
people on this site can be very sarcastic/snobby in replies and I did not want my response taken that way.
👍

The T500RS says that the wheels is detachable. It would be nice to see such a feature in other upscale wheels.

No, they are worlds apart. CSR is not as high end as CSP, something like that Thomas said.

I would think it cuts down on price. So far though I'm hoping Fanatec will bring an XBOX only wheel. It would help people like us with GT3 RS, just make an Pure edition with only the wheel.
