I recently formatted and did a clean install of XP pro. Since it was my first time, I accidently created 2 folders full of system files. One of them I actually use which is C: Windows. Wheras the other one I dont even use (C: WinXP.) Is it ok to delete the Winxp folder without the system going haywire? Plus, since I have another system folder, It asks me to select which operating system I want to use. Will deleting the Winxp folder get rid of this too?

Any suggestions would be apprecative.

Delete both system file folders and format again, then you can start off with one folder of system files.

I wouldn't delete the Windows XP folder without 100% knowing what can happen if your doing the wrong thing, it doesn't sound like a bright idea to me.

Well, I dont want to format. :indiff:

After that long morning today, I dont wanna go there again.

I mean, Is it a ticking time bomb? Can it really confuse the system a bit?

I havn't had to reformat my C:\ in quite a while. However, reformatting my linux partitions didn't take too long when I messed up with installing the system. Maybe that was just because the hdd was only 40gb itself.
