hey guys... first post here and it may sound kinda dumb... but oh wellz, maybe i'll find some "expert" at drifting who isn't such a meanie to help me =P (ps. i've read the faq's etc)

anyways... truth is... i play gt2 because my parents are meanies and won't let me get a ps2... but yeah, i'm hoping the physics and things aren't too diff.... Umm... for braking drift, it's all about using the brakes to shift the weight off the rear wheels to let them break traction more easily right? and then once the tail is out all you need is enough power to keep them spinning... this part i get, but when i try to drift w/ my stock s15 it seems like i need to brake for an insane amount of time while turning to actually get the tail to swing out... and from the vids i've seen... people just quickly tap the brakes and whoosh! they're sideways =P

anywho, yah, info would be greatly appreciated because i apparently can't finish any of the longs drifts because i'd have to brake too much to break traction.. and won't have the power to finish anything, ex: the first corners on midfield.

much appreciated people.

(ps... everyone says brake and turn... but do u actually turn first then brake? or brake then turn? cuz... it seems like u'd need to brake first to lose traction... but when i try'd it... turning then brake works... betta  )

im not too sure about drifting in gt2...maybe ask sheron about it...i think he drifts gt2..i forgot....and for your other question...brake, then turn in while still braking...should work....

i think silviadrifter just made a gt2 tribute vid, u should ask him also.

:thats pretty funny that we posted at the same time
