OK, its weird I know, but I've never played GT till like 5 minutes ago. Already hooked. Lol. Advice about what to do first would seriously help ALOT:tup:

Buy a car (you probably want one from premium dealer), race races, buy a better car... so on so forth :)

Search the FAQs at the top of this forum, most of the stuff you need to know will be in there.

Get stuck straight into the seasonal events so money isn't an issue for you, they pay way, way more than the a-spec events.

Awesome. And what's the 86GT I got for free?

The 86GT is a great little car at 400-500pp range should be good to go in all early a-spec events and seasonal's. Go win some money like King said and buy a lambo and u will burn the Single player and B spec easy. Dont worry about money u have to keep buying cars man. Oh and do the licenses if you want XP and credits. It really teaches you how do drive and play the game properly. You can always get the dlc to blag some descent cars also. Or borrow a mates car for an event from his profile. Good Luck !

Buy the dlc's that are available

No joke. Need to learn to drive first. XP

I think ig=f he's new to GT5 he wont be needing the DLC just yet lol

You never know. He might.

Try the license tests. You get free cars but also gain real experience and get used to the physics.

Also, if you can, turn off all aids.(ABS 1 seems to be acceptable.) Do it now and you will not need to do it later.

Don't sell anything unless you are 100% sure you will never need it.

Send me a FR and borrow any car I have set online.

Hope these help. Enjoy GT5. :)

Forgot sorry, welcome to GTPlanet! 👍

Thanks. Its awesome here. And the game is beautiful.

It's pretty obvious on what to do, which is: Do what you want to do. But if you demand advice, you could go ahead and try out the Licenses. Then you can slowly clear out the A-Spec Career races. The prize cars are very pleasant, and the races give you an idea on how things will mostly proceed in the game. Once you have a basic know-hows, you can finally start the Seasonal Races, or debut your frustration with the UCD. If you have the skills, you can join some racing leagues/clubs on this forum.

If you want to, send me a PSN FR id king4951 and I'd be happy to put whatever cars you need on share. I've also got most of the rare paints in the game if you decide to get into painting things to look good, and forgot earlier : Welcome to GTPlanet :)

Like some have already mentioned,Licence Tests should be your first port of call as it allows you gain experience in car control.
Once you have mastered(if not, just bronze) the tests,go into the Seasonal Events and do whatever races you can(depending on what car/s you have in your garage) as the Cr. rewards are quite high, meaning you can buy better cars(with a few mods) to breeze through many of the A-Spec races.
Remember, whenever you're strapped for Cr. ,go to the Seasonals:tup:

I've been playing for three weeks, started with the licenses, and the a-spec at first. Did a couple seasonals, and got enough cash to start working on the stable of cars.

I also started playing with all the assists on, and after a couple of days, slowly started turning the assists off. I'm now a much better driver, and my lap times are much faster than ever.

B-spec races can earn you some quick cash, fr me and add a b-spec driver, and others can race him to earn you xp and credits.

Bspec Remote Racing for $credits is a good idea. Get some bspec drivers online & some remote racing pals.
(I'll vouche for TubbyBoy6919 above, he's been reciprocating racing my bspec bobs. 👍 Thanks!)

Yeah you're right, basically everybody is allowed to do whatever they wish to do in the GT world traditionally in every single instalment of GTs, whether you get to clear out all the A(or B)-spec or tackle with other things apart from completion of those events, it's diametrically up to your desire.
