I've done some searchs here but I didn't found it. Excuse me if it was already posted, it's a very old thing anyway but today is the first day I saw it:

GT5 Prologue not true 1080p - upscaled

GT5 Prologue works in 1280x1080 and uses PS3 upscaling trick - by repeating some pixels in anamorphic picture to 1920x1080. So 50% upscale.(It's actually less than GT HD's 1440x1080)

1280x1080 and 2xAA
1280x720 and 4xAA
Confirmed by the same guy from Halo 3 resolution discovery (Quaz51).

"GT5 prologue demo is 1280x1080p (yamauchi know than in car game the vertical resolution is the most important for the visibility) but with MSAA 2x now ! it's a very good Compromise
they also very improved the display of grills and electric wires and aliasing problems (compare electric wires in GT-HD and in this demo, it's big big gap), the texture filtering is very clean and the HDR ligthing is awesome! All this in 60fps with 16 photorealistics cars, it's impressive the show room and the pit/garage is full 1920x1080 no AA"

Anyway maybe those things are not really "visible" by people while playin'?

All known for a more than half a year now.

Who cares? Nobody :D

GT5:P is by far the ONLY next-gen game that can output 720p with 4XAA in 60fps in REAL-TIME and I guess it's achivement that ALL developers would right now give their right testicle.

1080p is in pre-race menues and in menu screens, so it is a 1080p game after all. Whatever.

Yeah I said it's old already shaka.

Thanks amar212, I didn't knew it :)

In that case you're right about the achievement, thanks for that info.

Its still a prologue, not a full version.. still bugs, AA and other graphical aspects are yet to be fixed..

Yes, it's so old!

And for the love of God, if you like what you see, the numbers don't mean anything. "WOW, IT'S NOT 1080P, IT'S ONLY 720!!!!111111 OH COMPLETELY SUXORS" whoop-dee-****ing-doo

by the way, that was not aimed at you, aero-r, just at idiots in our gaming world.

No problem un_peacekeeper, in fact I've the same opinion that you.

I mean... I care those details for example if they're so important & visible like bad bad graphics, or very low resolution for example if I'm using a huge television and I get bad image. But on this case it's just about numbers, so we have the same point of view.
