Not able to connect to GT5 servers?

Since I got the game, I have never been able to connect to the GT5 servers. My internet is fine and my PS3 connection is great too as I'm able to sign in to the PSN no problems.

It's kind of frustrating because I've seen some people mention it but since there isn't a huge outcry I guess I'm at least one of the few that just can't connect. It's like a 5 minute wait every time it attempts and it attempts 3 times before I can even get into GT Mode.

It was especially irritating when I tried to install it as it sat at a blank screen with the GT5 logo on it forver.

Any answers/solutions? I can't access the lobby or anything internet related... meanwhile I'm also connected to PSN and can browse the DLC and stuff. I have online connection issues with only GT5. It even downloaded the 133mb update, but still doesn't connect.
 
I had exactly this problem up until yesterday evening.

I fixed it by changing my PS3's MTU setting in Connection Settings to match my router's MTU setting (1492).

As soon as I did that, I could get online fine. Give it a try and let us know how you get on.
 
I am still not able to connect to GT5 servers, but still oddly I can download all the updates. I just downloaded 1.05 and all the new features are incorperated in the game.

I just can't connect to any of the Online features in game... though I can sign in to PSN, browse the internet, and connect to all media servers.

Is there anything I can do?

I don't know how to do port forwarding and adjusting my MTU setting didn't help either. Any other suggestions?
 
I've had same problem aswell. I've played fifa world cup, gt5: P online before but never was able to "connect to gt5 servers"

I've set DNS's[196.204.152.34] in my pc (was on auto before) - which shares internet connection for ps3. I've run easy internet connection setup on my ps3 and there it is !

Since then i can always connect to servers and get some free museum and paint card everytime i log in ! And now get to online used car dealership
