not sure if its me or the game physics

hey every one new to the site. but i played gt5 for about 2months after launch then put it down to go back to my beloved xbox for fm4, but with the repetitive ness of it im finally board and in a way sick of my x360, so i dusted off the old ps3 and started playing gt5 once more! now somthing that iv noticed and not sure if its me or the game but the steering seems super twitchy during over steer. say low speed hairpin like the final turn on tsukaba, nicely power over into it and uh oh to much angle apply counter steer and suddon bust of grip and wamo right into the wall.i check my settings in case this came up as a question everything is off tcs is set to 1 abs set to 1 and steering sensitivity is 0, and im using ds3 controller. any help would be great to this newcomer thanks guys

Its both the game and you. I find this snapback annoying as well, but it can be handled by countersteering less. In most cases a quick steer in the counter direction and then right back to straight catches the car.

Another solution is to use worse tyres. All racing compounds have way too much grip and cause this on race cars.
 
1. Turn off the Traction control.
2. Use low grade tyres if you want smoother transitions (Comfort soft or Sport hard).
3. Check to see that SRF and steering assist is off.
4. Increase the steering sensitivity.
 
A bit of tuning couldn't hurt either if you are into that sorta stuff.
 
4WD's have it worse than other drivetrains I find. Not sure what cars you've been having the problem in, but the best advice I'd give is simply don't powerslide until you're used to the physics again.

My experience is that the snap reversal happens when the rear wheels regain traction suddenly. The solution is to keep feeding power to the rear wheels so that you can ease out of the oversteer and they don't grab while you're countersteering.

(And while I share lbpomg95's issues with 4WD cars, it has nothing to do with the phenomenon you're struggling with.)
 
You have to get used to ... If you turn the steering wheel steering is less sensitive.
