I need help giving this peom I wrote a title. I plan on submitting it to my school poetry book called musings. I let my old english teacher look at it and tell me what she thought, she was the one who suggested submitting it. Only problem is I cant think of a title. Well here it is:
theres no pain like heart break
nothing else like heart ache
wondering how long it will take
fearing that moment when you wake
and suddenly it hits you
you remember she didn't stay true
you dont know what to do
so you fill the void with other things
like alcohol, food, and drugs
then you start hangin out with thugs
soon you forget about her
but your lifes already on a downer
you figure whats the point
then you rob somebody at gun point
suddenly you see the boys in blue
so you run and hide with your crew
oneday you find yourself at the mall
chillen alone, with no one at all
then you see her
suddenly your eyes meet
its like love at first sight
you talk and make a date for that night
you take her to the most expensive place you can afford to
converted from gangtsa to GQ
you and her are goin strong
then one night she tells you she loves you
then you know you'll last long
maybe forever
you quit hangin wit thugs
gave up the drugs
one day you get down on one knee
You say "hunnie, I love you, will you marry me?"
u promise to do her right
to provide a good life and always be polite
she says "yes"
now you know you've done your very best
changed your ways
now you have a chance to have kids
a chance to cherish all those special days
went from thug slangin drugs
to a job with 9 to 5
no more runnin from the cops and havin to hide.
