Not working via phono cable

Got my ps3 yesterday played GT5 all day on my HD tv with the HDMI cable. Took it to my girlfriends today her tv is not HD so had to use the supplied phono cable but i could not get it to work tried another tv with the same lead still no joy can anyone shed some light on this thanks.....
 
Press the ON button for 10 secs when turning it on, that'll reset your PS3's video settings to SD. Once back at your place switch it back to HDMI.
 
Also keep in mind that this will reset your theme and background settings, so you will need to redo those as well.
