I've been using the mobile edition of GTP on Pocket Internet Explorer. I don't know if you're developing for this, but a couple of thoughts if you are...

Firstly (but only because it's presenting itself right now!) can you make the text entry field in the main post forms smaller? Perhaps 8 lines high? The width is fine.

Secondly, can you put the navigation breadcrumb at the bottom of the thread view? Using a scroll wheel or cursors in Pocket IE selects each link in turn, so you have to click through loads to get to the top of the page.

Thirdly, can you put some formatting differentiator in the threads list to denote new posts since last visit?

Finally, there's a formatting error in the links to the mod cp. There's a stray "/> showing up.

If you're not developing the theme, feel free to ignore me. I'm likely to be switching to Opera Mobile soon anyway.

And while Giles brings this up. could you also add a link to the forum somewhere on the iPhone homepage? Currently I think you only see the news articles that are posted to the main page.

Adding it to the menu at the top right of that page would be perfect.

I use the mobile version quite a bit on Opera Mini, I'd find a "Go to last Page" Option extremely helpful.

Ive used full GTP on PDA many times in landscape and mobile IE seems to fit everything to the screen... I havent tried GTP Mobile on it though.

Robin.

Not a problem, but I can't find the stray "/> that you noticed?

I'm using a WordPress plugin to create the iPhone version of the home page, and unfortunately it doesn't give me the ability to customize one of those links to point to the forum. I could hard-code the link in, but then I'd have to do that every time I upgraded the plugin, becoming a long-term headache. From what I've read, custom Menu links are on their way in the next version of the plugin, so keep an eye out for it.

 That was a bit wacky - it was inserting the raw HTML code of the forum description into a meta tag. Should be fixed now.

Ah, gotcha. I usually just tap the /forum/index.... address that pops up when I type GT. ;)
