ive just been reading the news at www.bbc.co.uk, and there was an article about an explosion outside the british consulate in america. and it said this:

"
The two devices, described by police as novelty hand-grenades packed with gunpowder, were put in a concrete flower tub in front of the building."

i wasnt aware you could buy novelty hand-grenades, has any forum member ever purchased one? and if so, could you post a pic here (if possible). im very interested to find out what these 'novelty hand-grenades' look like. i wonder if they are similar in appearance to 'holy-hand grenades'? :sly:

Novelty hand grenades?

They look like cheap plastic hand grenades. Often they have a device in them like a cap gun that bangs caps when you drop them.

Guess what I found:

(From Solid Lifter's Link)"This FAKE Dummy Hand grenade is forged steel, and is 2-piece take apart. Please don't bring it to school, the bank, or on a plane. They will not think it is funny. Keep it at home on your desk and just admire it."

so i can bring it other places? :)

"Hey Bob, have you seen my grenade?"
"No, I haven't."
"Look at it."
"Wow. What if you drop it?"
"I don't know. Let's try it."

Charging into battle with his granade in his hand.

I'm not sure about US legality, as I've never seen them here, but in the UK you can get realistic grenades that have a 9mm blank in them.

By the way, deactivated grenades are illegal here in CA, I'm not sure if those training ones are or not.

Those training grenades should be legal. They are dummy grenades, so they have no explosive charge.
