Now I'm mad...

So I got a new PS2 since my old one broke. Then my Shakrport stops working. So, I figure something was wrong with the disk so I order another one. It arrives today and this one doesn't work either. I get this message each time.

Please insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc

Why is it doing this? Any tips?

I've had that happen a few times, this might not be your problem but in my case it was fingerprints on my cd.

There seems to be something going on with newer PS2s. I never got the chance to test my fully-working XPort on the new PS2 someone else had though, so I can't say for sure.

What was wrong with your old PS2? More or less all the problems are a very easy fix with them, and parts are cheap on eBay (new lens unit for £15...).
