After playing GT4 since it was out just mainly grip driving I thought I would have a go at setting up a car and drifting it myself. I did do a fair bit of drifting in GT3 but I have to readjust to GT4.

I thought I would post a vid of one of my first attempts and see what you guys who have been drifting for quite some time think. I can drift most corners good but its hard to get a full lap doing that, so I made errors.

Sorry about the low quality
Trial mountain (not a full lap)

BTW I set the car so I never use the e-brake, I prefer it that way.

Second attempt

I thought I would try Autumn ring mini so here is my attempt, please watch both or atleast one of them and comment :).

Dont mind the ghost car ahead that was me doing a lap not drifting with same car and setup, Near the end of the first of the two I accidently hit the gear stick (DFP) the wrong way so I lost alittle speed but was happy anyway.

Another lap less agressive at first but more after and a bit of accidental grass cutting at the end

I have alittle trouble linking opposite corners where I have to switch direction, the car gets alittle unstable, I can pull it off sometimes but not reliably like I can double or triple apex's. I am constantly tweaking the settings.

Nice slides n.n
The drift through the huge U-turn after the straight was a bit rough, but other than that its fine :)

I see that you don't have a video capture card like me too, so you might want to use a tripod for your camera and record in the dark where there'll be little to no reflection . ;)

Keep the drifts coming :)

Thanks for the comment, yeah the exit of the huge U-turn was abit shakey.

I would like to buy a capture card soon.

Not bad at all.

Things to improve on.

-Countersteer
-consistancy of drift... further yet, consistancy overall.
-Line (although, that comes into personal preferance)

Just keep practicing, your not bad at all.

P.S. I don't mean to sound like a mean shlum.

Thanks for the comments, you didnt sound like a mean shlum I want comments on it 👍

I noticed practice makes all the difference, when I first started I would just hold down the throttle flat and I would almost always spin, the more Im practicing the easier it is getting.
