Hey guys! I just thought I'd post up one of my videos. It was made just for fun.. plus I'm trying to get all of my friends to buy G27s so we can all do videos like this and see what kind of footwork we all have. It's on a custom course that I find super fun.

Don't mind the music.. I've been hanging out with a lot of Japanese ESL students at school and we've been doing Initial D marathons for a while, haha.

Anyways, enjoy! :)

Great video and a great car! So playful

Dunno if you have quite grasped the concept of heel and toe shifting there?
Reving the engine while holding in the clutch is rather pointless. You have to hold in the clutch, downshift, rev it, let out the clutch, then hold in the clutch again, downshift, rev it, let it out etc etc.

Nice video though :)

That's cool initial D music. I shall do this.

Due to the randomized section layout and me hating running with a map.. I'm not used to the course at all. When I approach a long bend, I assume it's a short one so I automatically rev with the clutch in as soon as I downshift. I then realize the bend isn't over, so I rev it again. I think that's what you're getting at... haha. You're completely right, though. This is the first simracer I've used with a clutch, so bear with me while I shake off my bad habits from running on a smaller track (in real life) :dopey:

Right now, my main focus is to keep the RPMs up, even if my footwork is kind of sloppy. I know there's a long way for me to grow, and I welcome criticism and advice, so thanks :)

Right now, your 10 times better than I am. I have used my G25 once and i am horrible, it's the first time i've ever used clutch in my life. I know how heel and toe works, but i can't for the life of me do it.

I couldn't complete one lap of the LFS demo with missing a gear or forgeting to brake.

I am really good with my Microsoft wheel on xbox but having that extra pedal and a gear shifter is really messing with my head :)

I don't see much wrong with his technique - blip with throttle with the clutch in during the downshift with the aim of raising the engine speed to (attempt to) match that demanded by the lower gear for the given vehicle speed. When done correctly, heel and toe improves stability under braking, particularly in rear wheel drive cars as the wheels are somewhat unloaded during braking and susceptible to locking in certain situations.

The trick is in the timing of the blip and maintaining a consistant force on the brake pedal.
