Ok, NTSC guys (or gals if we have any0, lets try and get some interest in these new races!

I will be bringing the Suby to start off with, even though I can see the R8 being the car to have.

What do people plan/ are people running so far? Anybody have lap times that people should shot for to be "fast"?
 
I'll start at 4 EST. Probably R8 or STi

I just picked up an ethernet switch so it would be more convenient for me to get on GT5p- let me see what I can bring. For now I'm NTSC :)
 
I was on a few minutes ago at :30 and :45. Anyone know who these guys are that have screen names starting with LR? There was like 4-5 of them, and they would all stop at the grid and wait for others to get ahead, then they would all race each other. Second time around one of them (the host) quit the race after I had led for about half a lap.
 
Legit-Racing!!! Sorry for that.....one of our guys was having a problem hosting the game. Tonight was our cup series....we run every Thursday night at 9 est. Hopefully we didn't cause any trouble!! :P
 
I'm new to this forum & have a couple questions

so I was just wondering are these start times going apply 24/7 from now on or was this a today only thing as I'm on the westcoast & have only limited gaming time availible.

also anyone have a good idea on competive laptime yet so I can try & set a car up.

I was running low 2'16s in the R8, but I was being edged out about a second per lap by a Tuned Evo X.
 
I was running in the mid 2:14´s in a Subaru Impreza WRX 07...but I was being overperformed by another Impreza RA 05 about half second per lap...
 
Below 2.15s. Had my evo9 running 2.13s.

No problems. Thanks for letting me know about the connection problems. I would actually like to say sorry for hitting the back of the guy in the new STi when we started. Didn't know he wasn't going to move off the start.:dunce:
 
Hey no problem!!! We try not to mess anybody when racing you know, that's why we try to move out out the way as soon as possible.
 
Thanks for the heads up on target time.
I don't know it my laps are as fast & they could be ,need to chase some fast guys to see if I can take anything differently (ie braking points , cornering lines, etc)
 
I have been running steady 2:12's in the newer STi. Ran into another guy running the same in the older, RA, version.

Will probably try out the R8 this week.

Na, R comps make it too easy. :sly: Car goes like stink in the esses, but doesn't have alot of pull on the straights.

I'm playing on pal version so, since there isn't a suz600 awd thread i thought i'd post here.
Best laps i got are very low 2.11's (i've hit a 2'10.*) on STI'07 and even tho' the 07'STI seems fast i have quite a close encounter with Redwings(Hu) on his R8.

Very nice! Yeah, I was sure more time was out there. I am running low 2:12's (2:12.2 and such) pretty steady now. And really haven't tweaked the car that much. But thanks for the new time to shoot for! :sly:
 
I have hit some mid 2:11's, as of last night, by eliminating some downshifts. Going to shorten 4th, to keep a little higher in the gear in those spots.
