So lately I have been getting quite annoyed by people online. I currently use the NTSC version of the game and have been thinking about buying the PAL version also due to the fact of how much activity has gone down on the NTSC version. For those who have both is there really that much of a difference between the two, and is it worth buying the PAL version?

There's annoying drivers on both, but I think the average driver on PAL seems better than the average driver on NTSC.

I dont have both but alot of NTSC members have brought PAL and now play it instead. As I hear you dont get many full grids on NTSC, where as PAL you do. Tonight is an example, Mazada Monday was run on PAL and we nearly got a full grid of GTP 👍

You can buy PAL from a number of places. Ive recommended www.gameplay.co.uk to people looking to buy it. The game itself if £14.99 (cheap) and shipping to USA is £6 - 8 I believe. Tzayad & Vaxen are to name a few who have brought off the site so message them if you need further info. Think it took around 10 - 15 days in total for them to recieve it.

I might do that later on, thanks for the advice.

I've got both versions (I also bought my PAL version from gameplay.co.uk). There are definitely more people playing the PAL version (including a lot of the good NTSC players), but there's a small catch. Because of the time difference, you have to play earlier in the day to find a lot of people playing. I'm in Toronto, which is 5 hours behind UK time. If I play the PAL version in the afternoon around 3:30-4:00pm ET, there's usually lots of people around (full grid for most races, often lots of GTP members), but if I go on in the evening (7:30-8:00pm ET) is usually pretty empty as it's after midnight in Europe.

Apart from the cooler intro, the more people and the fairer racers, there's no other extra. And if you buy the PAL u will have to start a new game.

Its not exactly the longest game in the world is it?

I think its because European racing game fans take it more seriously. think of how many drift junky, street racing kids (learning from "fast and the furious" movies) in the us are online with the NTSC version.
-Europe favors Formula 1, and WRC, not nascar and drag racing. The passion to be GOOD at road course racing and learning the proper apex of a corner is a bigger part of the racing culture in eurpope. Just my opinion.

And a great opinion that is... I feel the exact same way.

And its just another reason why I would move out of here in a heartbeat. If Mcane ended up getting elected, I would have been in the UK by now, lol. Now the pressing issue ahead is how to ensure that Nacar goes down the tubes. Then maybe We'll adapt a sport that encourages our youth to embrace road racing, rather than make it a galdiator /spectator dissaster.

"This is 'Merica! If you dont like it you can git out!" - southpark redneck

seriously though, for all the nascar bashing i've done tonight, I should point out I dont really hate it, I just think its a joke.

Srlsly, u nead to lern how too spel be4 posting about what needs to happen to Nascar. Freakin troll. What does this have to do with the post anyways? Oh, and another thing, have you heard of ALMS, Grand-AM, Mazda Star Series, Formula BMW, Rolex Sport car series? Some of the few Road Racing that goes on here in America. So, it's either you have basic cable and can't watch anything BUT Nascar or basic knowledge of what types of racing goes on here in America.

The best thing about having the PAL disc is racing with the Australians. 👍

Other than that, no advantage as in GT4. Mission 34 comes to mind.
