Number cruncher pc

Hi all, I'm looking for a Desktop PC that is capable of number crunching with ease. I like to play Football Manager and Chess but these just kill my old laptop:

(Compaq nx9005, XP Home 32-bit SP3, mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP2400+, 768 MBytes RAM, Hewlett-Packard 0024 (mPGA462B) motherboard, RADEON IGP 320M, HITACHI_DK23EA-30 30Gig HDD).

I'll need it also for photo editing and maybe movie editing, the usual internet, Word etc.

It must have WiFi as my desk is upstairs from the router.

I would rather it be more powerful than my needs above to cater for teenagers

An Intel 2600 which is an Intel i7 quad core that has a clock speed of 3.4Ghz and a turbo clock speed of 3.8Ghz.

This CPU has been getting good reviews.

I will look for one that has it.
