I've seen a number of beautiful images taken at Nurburgring in different lighting conditions. I have the various Ring locations unlocked - 24 hour w/time and weather change, for example - but nowhere do I find the ability to actually change said time and/or weather conditions. Whether it's in arcade or practice mode, regardless of whether I set it up as a one-make race or time trial, I'm never presented with the option of changing the track settings.

I've searched the forums (here and in the Q&A section) and have been unable to find the answer to this question: how do I actually change the time & weather settings at the tracks for which this is an option (Ring, Sarthe)?

Thanks in advance!

(Oh, and if the moderator needs to move this, feel free - I just figured I'd ask my fellow picture-takers first!)

Hmm i played Nurnburgring 24H once online, and it started at night ? Didn't touch the settings at al. So maybe just start a race online on your own, and save the replay ?

Hope it helps :(

Btw, i LOVE your gallary ! Your pictures are amazing !

I also am annoyed that ther doesnt seem to be any function to edit this. I just set up a race in my lounge, and the time can be edited there for the allowed tracks

Ahhh - the Lounge. I'd never used that feature before, which would explain my lack of knowledge. Silly me - I'd have thought that the ability to change time and weather would be in the practice or arcade modes. I'll have to go check it out in the Lounge. Thanks so much!

BTW as a tip. I took some pictures today and was messing around with the times at the 24H course.

For sunrise (in a stock Honda NSX Type-R):
1 Lap
Started at 4:30
Time progression to 8

For sunset (in a stock Corvette ZR-1):
1 Lap
Started at 19:40
Time progression to 8

For time progression you may be able to put higher for faster cars and lower for slower but 8 seems a good setting for 1 lap.

Also note that by doing free drive you are wasting precious time and will have to change the time settings to get them to reset to your original time. I don't know if sitting in the lobby affects the time, but I try to just start the race immediately after setting everything up.

Thanks for the specific tips - I'll have to mess around with those settings tomorrow and see what happens. Now if only I can figure out how to make it start out with rain and then stop raining - the road looks gorgeous after a storm. :)

AFAIK, the Lounge is the only way to try & set up what conditions you want. Otherwise, it's up to the game.
