Anyone have a suggestion for which car to use in winning the Nurburgring 15 Minutes Race using a DS3 controller? I've raced this course with a GTR Nismo 15th Anniversary car (without settings adjustments or add-ons), but didn't come close to breaking the Top 10 cars.

The first time I won the Nurburgring race, I used a Lexus IS Touring Car '07.

The Lexus is a very nice race car and can win the race with less than the 650PP race restriction (I think I ran it at around 600PP).

Alternatively, you could buy one of the cars that the fast AI use:

Ford GT LM Spec II
GT by Citroen Race Car
McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97

Good luck!@jeffreyw1

I've used a modified Lightcar rocket, a modified 2010 camaro, and a modified 2014 C7 corvette. My wife used a toyota 7 with the power cut back to 650pp. The 2009 corvette zr1 race car makes a pretty good 'bang for your buck' race car that should win it without too much trouble. I'm using a G27 wheel, but I'm not even as fast as many people using the DS3. Most of y'all that are practiced with the DS3 could get faster lap times than I can no matter what I use.

If I remember correctly (and that is no guarantee) I used the Nissan GT-R R35 TC with a Stage 3 Turbo attached and won it comfortably (it may not have had the S3 Turbo on it as I remove it on some races, add it on others dependent on entry PP restrictions)....I think I left the transmission as is as it has a top speed of 199 stock but doesn't get near that even on the long straight (maybe 160-170 tops). Didn't use any aids except ABS 1 as that car handles extremely well

Oh yeah. I forgot about that one. Even better 'bang for your buck' than the ZR1 RM vette.

I haven't tried the ZR1 so can't compare but I do know it's insanely good for the low price it has....I did most of the Super level events with it along with a load of others...it was listed as my favourite car and longest run (22 wins and 460 odd miles) until my grinding of SSX Like The Wind with the 2J took that away from it

Thanks for posting all the great suggestions. I'll have to decide which one to use as I haven't played the race yet. I'll post what I was successful using.

I did it in the Audi S1 quattro with a half rally setup haha
Was a lot of sliding got the win over the F1 by half a second in the end :D
The S1 is great in the corners so won a lot of time in the more cornering sections, the Ford GT LM and the F! were way faster on the straight

That Monster Energy car works quite nicely. I took the lead about three-quarters of the way through the first lap and ran a nice 6:22 on the third lap.

I won the race using a stock '09 Chevrolet ZR1 Corvette. I had the C6R and 2 other cars trailing me on the final straighaway. I was glad to get the win with the car.

Red Bull X2014 Junior.

Stats for the car are 246 Horsepower @ 8500 RPM, 166.5 Torque 7500 RPM. Weight was 550, Mileage 665.2. Performance Points Ended up @ 728 on Racing Hard tires.
Suspension Settings are as follows, the first number in each pair being the front of the car setting.

Ride Height 50 / 50
Spring Rates 20.28 / 24.79
Damper Extension 4 / 4
Damper Compression 4 / 4
Anti Roll Bars 3 / 3
Camber 2.0 / 1.0
Brake Bias 5 / 6
Toe -.5 / .5
Front LSD / /
Rear LSD 7 / 35 / 15

Transmission Gear Ratios were
1st 2.822
2nd 2.033
3rd 1.593
4th 1.323
5th 1.142
6th 1.014
7th
8th
Final 3.300
Top Speed was 200

0 of ballast was added at position 0

Downforce was set 1000 at the front and at the rear 1050.

Power level was 100

Easy win for me with this setup. Gearing was good, never hit the rev-limiter.

The Lexus is a very nice race car and can win the race with less than the 650PP race restriction (I think I ran it at around 600PP).

I also used the Lexus. It is indeed a great car for that course. The top end is weak, but it handles very well and you can make some serious time in the turns.

A lightly tuned Light Car Company Rocket is a good car for 75% of the S-Class races (primarily the 650pp events). I used that thing a bunch and am just now needing to change to the R18 TDI to do the 750pp races.
