what is the best car to do this with i have tried a clk touring car , a clk gtr touring car, and a slr mclaret and none of them won it so i need help on which car to buy i have about 8,500,000 so i can buy anything and what to put on it

I you are having trouble driving, try an Opera Performance S2000, fully done up. If you are having trouble B-Speccing the race, try a Chaparral 2D or 2J.

Or a Supra Race Car...Mazda RX-7 LM Race Car (if you've won it) also works well...(for B-Spec anyway)

Avoid any F1 Car and the Ford Falcon XR8...not very good choices really.

I disagree. The 2D is faster, cheaper and can actually win the race against the 2D the A.I. drives. Those two just use up tires too fast. And if he uses the 2J, he has a car that he can race against the LMP cars.

Well Spike the Facon XR8 is one of my favs. Spice her up and hit the road... I love her attitude...

I will post asap my setup details for the XR8 so you try them too. Maybe it'll help you re-consider this good car from down under...💡

Don't get me wrong, I love the XR8...just only when *I* drive it myself...just B-Spec Bob did very poorly (even at 8812 skill) overall.

Anyway...as to Tornados comment.

The 2D isn't in every Nurb 24 hour race line up, infact I've rarely encountered it. As for actually racing against the other cars...it's Bob...and with almost no skill points to be gained from Endurance races it doesn't matter if he thrashes them or wins by a few seconds. Once given an S3 turbo, tyres won't matter, they'll be 4 laps ahead by 59 laps. And the RX-7 pits every 5 laps on R5s at medium pace, so it's not really worth worrying about. Besides...spends 4.5 of his 8.5 mill on a Supra. Wins. Gets put back up to 5.2 mill or thereabouts...getting a hold of the 2J to fight with these LMP cars isn't going to bed a hard task at 1.2 mill.

thank you you all but i tried to win it again last nite and now im at 21 hours 30 mins into it and i am ahead of the second place car by 8 laps so this couldve helped me but i i did it again wit my clk-gtr and im way in the lead last time i mustve had some mechanical problems......i.e it needed different tires and an oil change seeing as it had 2300 miles on it

Have you really seen an LMP race car in the Nurburgring 24 hour? That would be the car to beat with a 2J or a 2D (or are you talking about for other races including the Nurb 24?)

Anyway, in the simplest way I can put a suggestion: A DTM racer or anything better than that. At least a GT1 Class car for B-Spec (just to be safe).

Well first off this is my first post so hey everyone! Second I would use the Mazda 787B (black or normal colors) It will blow the competition away easily. I kept the Racing Medium tires on it and it had to pit every 4 laps or so which didn't matter because by the time [b-spec] Bob had to pit he had a big enough lead that no one passed hime (or was close to passing him)

I needed a second F-1 racer and I maxed out my M5 and hit the 24hrs Nürburgring enduro once again. Oh boy, it held up high against any competition. However the heavy weight cost me valuable seconds and almost lost me the whole race at the last lap when the car tailing me sped better up the hill at the last straightway... :scared:

Any fantasy LM such as:

RX8
RX7
S2000 LM (+stage 4 turbine)
Camaro LM
350Z LM
FTO
Altezza
Imprezza
Pagani Zonda

I dont wanna seem rude, but whats the point in driving 24h Nurburgring in B-SPEC mode?

Because not everyone can sit there for 24 hours straight, or even split it into a week long effort due to other commitments. Also not everyone is good enough to tackle this on A-Spec mode. There are many other reasons, I personally don't fancy sitting there because of the fact PD made them so mind numbingly boring to drive even for an hour or two, so I stick in a fast car and just let Bob go at it and I'll reap the rewards.

Mine's do it in 3 hour splits (A-spec mode :sly:). 3 Hours on, hours off, 3 more on, come back sometime later, you get hte idea. I have a club for people who have done at least one 24 Hour Enduro in A-spec, but it's about dead now :(.

Y'know...I tried the 2D that Torondo (sorry if I got your username wrong) preached about...Pace 3 (same as I run my RX-7)...all for 1 extra lap before a pit?...and I was no further ahead in laps as I usually am with my RX-7 LM after 6 hours...maybe it's just me or something

<_Spike_>
My tactic...do 2 hours (6 hours in game) before bed, wake up 8-10 hours later and finish it off.

Yup almost the same... I race the first 3 hours or so, hand the cockpit over to the AI, bum around or do my this and that, eat, drink whatever, go race another 3 hours or so in A Spec, hand it over to the other pilot again and go hit the pillow. The next morning I just go and take over for the victory laps :D

I did it in a boxter, race suspension of course.
Ya, and I did Sarthe II in my Fiat 500. Nurb in my Panda Super ie.

do you save it?? or do you pause it and leave the system on all night?? or what though....can you save in the middle or something?

? That sounds like a little doubt there. I confess, I did bump the stock RUF hp up to about 360 (380?), lightened the car a little, brakes, clutch, roll bar. On R3 tires I would pit after every other lap, but could still get ahead about a minute or two an hour, but since the AI would loose about 5 or so minutes an hour, it couldn't do more than a few laps.

Keebler: just pause and come back to it. Took me a week to get through it.

Many just pause it and leave it on. There are "risks" in this, but they rarely happen.

because you preferto take a hands off aproach at these races, i'd go mad if i did 226 laps at the nurburgring in m R8- so i let bspec do it for me
