Nurburgring 24-Hour Pointless XP

After watching someone complete this race in a-spec I saw that he got 9800456 experience points, which is surely pointless because you can't get anymore points after level 40 (which is when the race is unlocked)

i'm just saying these points are pointless, unless i've missed something.........:confused:

It's a pointless race IMO because it's run without realistic tyres and without realistic competition. Oh, and because it'll fry either you, your PS3, or your wheel.

Congratz though to the madmen who've done it 👍.

Yes, PD really didn't think that one through very well. Mind you, the same could be said for most of the game.
 
Yep, I have mentioned before it is pointless, I have done the race anyway as it was needed for 100%.
 
Wish instead of 9 million xp it would give 9 million credits.
 
Maybe it is silently tracking these extra XP gains in the background, then for DLC, they will sell you the ability to level up your racing wizard to level 50.
 
^ Wouldn't be suprised.

"Upgraded level cap" is something that a lot of games do through DLC/Patches. (WOW, Fallout 3)
 
Not so in b spec though where you can have multiple drivers at lower levels.
 
The race details for nur 24hr obviously shows that xp is the main benefit from this.
