I said id post this race report in the 200 point thread, so here it is.

Preface
I wanted to run a close 200 point race clean, without any AI contact, but then i thought ill go one step further and not only not touch them, but also not overtake them, besides the Nordschleife is to narrow to overtake on anyway :).
I was going to overtake them if they went off track but i knew it would be a long race so then i decided (when the Calibra spun infront of me to make it no overtaking even if they do go off course).
So how do i come anywhere but last, well i can overtake cars while they are in the pits and also when we we are both in the pits, ie my pit crew being faster.
My reporting style is pretty dry just the facts, you've been warned.
With all that in mind here is my race report.

Lap no: events
-1 Follow BMW M3 GTR Race Car (M3), then the Audi A4 Touring (A4T) when the M3 overtakes it at Adenaur Forst, then follow A4T for first 4 laps drafting where important, so that when i pit, i wont have to refill for as long.
-4 Pass Nissan FALKEN*GT-R Race Car (GTR) while its on pit entry now 5th
-5 Everyone else pits, enter pits 5th fill to 80 units.
-Overtake A4T While we are in the pits, now 4th
-6 Exit 4th with GTR right behind me, i go deep into Hatzenbach, but no contact made, i'm trying to catch up to the Vauxhall Calibra Touring Car (Calibra) which exited pits about 4 seconds ahead.
-Lose it through Speigelkurve, GTR gets past me now im back in 5th A4T about 5 seconds back.
-See the GTR pass the Calibra before Mutkurve, i manage to catch the Calibra at the kleine-karussell but i go to deep into Galgenkopf, so there will be no slipstream from Dottinger Hohe to Antoniusbuche for the first time, Oh well.
-7 Because of above it takes me until PflanzgartenIII to catch the Calibra.
-8 Calibra makes a mess of Wippermann and i have to brake hard to avoid it could have passed but dont. (decide no ontrack passing at all now)
-Pass the GTR while in pits (WIP) for 4th

-1 Hour Mark about 2 seconds before lap 8 completed, 4th down 29 seconds
on Audi Abt TT-R Touring Car (TTr) 7:25 into lap 8.

-10 The Calibra is slow on its 5th lap and the A4T takes me by surprise and slipstreams past me cleanly, (while im in the tow of the Calibra) between Dottinger Hohe and Antoniusbuche now 5th.
-Pit in from 5th right behind Calibra fill to 60 this time (TTr,& A4T go for another lap)
-GTR Overtakes me WIP
-11 Exit in 5th, 1:10 down on TTr, (was the biggest margin of the race) Start work chasing down GTR, who must have passed the A4T at some stage becuase, i burn rubber all the way around and pick up the draft of the A4T literally exiting Galgenkopf. (The A4T has lost a pit stop in 1 lap on crap tyres)
-go into 4th when A4T pits
-12 catch the GTR around Adenaur Forst
-Go into 3rd when the GTR pits
-13 Start lap only 22 seconds down on leading M3 1st & TTr 2nd
Do a new best lap 7:17:607 (try to keep track of this now)
(This was the first lap i wasnt sitting behind one of the AI cars)
-15 Pit in 3rd
-16 Exit in 3rd

-2 Hour Mark 7:20 into lap 16 3rd 50 seconds down on TTr

-18 Pick up the TTr at Breidscheid and start trying to keep in draft without making contact.
-19 Lose it in TTr's draft at PflanzgartenIII so i dont get draft down Dottinger Hohe and Antoniusbuche (i lose over a second when this happens)
-20 Pit in from 3rd
-21 Exit in 3rd
-23 Catch the M3 at Breidscheid
-Take the TTr WIP for 2nd (now im right behind the M3)

-3 Hour Mark 0:40 into lap 25 2nd down 1 sec on M3

-25 Pit in 2nd about 5 sec back from M3 (went wide in Wippermann)
-26 Exit in 3rd (I fill to 60, so at the next stop i can jump the M3)
-Catch M3 after Flugplatz
-27 Lose the M3 draft at Ex-muhle, but catch it again at Kleine-Karussell where i nearly hit it exiting the corner
-29 Overtake TTr WIP for 2nd
-30 Pit in 2nd right behind M3
-31 Exit 1st about 3 sec up on TTr, who i let by while im on cold tires at the chicane between Metzgesfied & kallenhard (i braked to late and went on the grass, the M3 stays behind, so im now 2nd.
-32 Re catch the TTr throught mutkurve, but i lose the draft at wipperman

-4 Hour mark 0:38 into lap 33 2nd down 5 sec on ttr

-33 I start the lap about 5-6 seconds behind the TTr but then burn around the track to catch the draft of the TTr exiting Galkenkopf to record a new best draft assisted lap of 7:13:825.

(I dont get even close to this time for the rest of the race, i think my next best times where a couple of 7:16 & 17's, average time was probably around 7:20, under that being good, over 7:24 means i probably had an off.)

-35 with the TTr's tires dying the M3 just catches our draft exiting Galkenkopf, and passes me for 2nd at Antoniusbuche
-We all pit in together (TTr,M3 & me)
-36 I take minimum fuel and exit 1st, about 4 seconds up on the M3,
(a complete reversal of the order we came into the pits)
-37 At the end of lap the gap over the TTr is 2 seconds
-38 At the end of lap the gap over the TTr is 3 seconds
-39 At the end of lap the gap over the TTr is 1 seconds
-40 Just avoid the TTr making contact with me as i pit in from 1st
-41 exit 2nd 28 down on TTr

-5 Hour mark 0:42 into lap 41 down 29 seconds on TTr (up by 5 on M3)

-41 Retake 1st from TTr WIP
-44 At 5:26 mark the replay stops recording, going off notes only now
-45 Pit in from 1st
-46 Exit 2nd behind TTr
-47 Take 1st back off TTr WIP

-6 Hour mark 1:05 into lap 49 up by 15 seconds on M3

-50 Pit in from 1st up 3s on M3
-51 Exit 2nd 10s down on TTr
-53 Catch the TTr through PhlanzgartenIII
-Take it for first WIP, now up 12s on M3
-55 Pit in up 8s on M3
-56 Exit 1st up 2.5s up on TTr
-56 TTr gets by me at Antoniusbuche (bugger)

-7 Hour mark 1:05 into lap 57 2nd down 0.5 seconds on TTr

-57 Spin at Breidscheid while avoiding the TTr (AI brake very early for that corner)
-59 Re catch the TTr exiting the Karussel
-Take TTr for first WIP (Won't loose the lead again)
-60 Pit in up 10s on M3
-61 Exit up 9s on TTr
-End of lap gap is 4.5s
-62 At the end of lap the gap over the TTr is 5 seconds

6th Audi A4 Touring Car: 1 lap + 7:05

Mission complete, no on track overtaking or AI contact made, and 200 Aspec points and the Polyphony FGT are all mine aswell.

Notes
-This report does not include all the times i went off track only the times, when going off track, had an affect on my proximity to an AI car.
-The Audi TTr pits every six laps but loses about 10 seconds to me on the sixth lap, if it pitted every five laps im not sure i would have won.
-The GTR beat the Calibra but they where together the whole race with the Calibra infront for 95% of it, the only reason the GTR won was because it was due in on the lap i finished the race.

Sorry about this being so long but 24Hours is a long time, some other endurance race reports to follow...

My report doesn't say does it, but i'm 99.9% sure i used R1's as they are what come stock with the car(?), and they're the most obvious tyres to use for enduro's.

I'm sure that R1's would be faster than N3's, but they also have way more endurance.
The fact that in your vid you got to first, means they're fast enough, but you need to be able to do five laps between stops to make that (same pace as AI) work. (that ain't gonna happen on N3's)

I'm not even sure if anyone has done this race on N tyres before.

I watched the lap you did in the Cuzco on S1's, and its faster than any lap i did for the whole race, so you might be able to use them.

There´s no problem doing 5 laps with the N3´s.
you only need to be 5secs/lap faster than the Opposition.

by the way the Altezza has 10HP less than the Cusco.

If you can get 5 laps out of N3's it looks like your sorted. You don't even need to be that much faster, just as long as your leading (by any amount) at the end of lap 5 (AI pit cycle) the race should be do-able.

Which ever car you use make sure you enjoy driving it, (cuz your gonna have to drive it for 24 hours = make sure you like the engine/exhaust note & handling) my race was fun until i got the lead (around 7 hours in) and started pulling away from the AI, then it became more of a grind.

PS doesn't the Toyota Altezza LM Edition have a appetite for devouring its front tyres (i used it for 200pts at the Grand Valley 300, albeit on R1's)
