There are two sections at the 'ring that seem to "swallow" the headlights so you can't even see the track. Has anyone else had this happen?

Today, I was racing there online and some guy ahead of me went right off the track all of a sudden and claimed the track disappeared on him. I guess he was right then.

The reason is because the heavier precipitation there is, the less amount of light can travel through. It's kind of like traveling through fog.

That's the thing, it wasn't raining. I can't remember the exact section, but it seemed to be on low points of that track and both seemed to be for equal times, I would say about 5 seconds which is a long time above 100mph!

It's never happened to me and I always drive on that track online with friends. The only negative thing that's happened to me on the track was part of the track disappearing for a short distance.

yes, I raced the burg at night many times and the lighting does seem inaccurate at times. I would like to see more of a penalty for going off track there as well... This moronic American kept riding the rails and trying to run me off the road because he was slower than me.

It's the ghost of Nurburgring. Ya know how many people have really died at that track? A lot!

I was helping a buddy of mine practice the special stage course for one of the seasonal things. And yes the tracks can utterly vanish, interestingly enough it seems the cockpit view aggravates it no end making parts of the track a empty void less you stop the car and allow the game to render them, but hood and bumper cam cut down the problem immensely.

Never had that issue with the ring in the dry at night but then i make sure every light is turned off in the house so it doesn't reduce my visibilty.

I did do a wet race at the ring at night and that was just stupid. The spray put up a wall that looked like a nuclear bomb was going off behind it, that was very difficult to see where your going lol

Hell that's nothing, I just flicked over to see how my B-Spec 24 hour Le Mans was doing. It was night but there was no track. I could just see cars, selected walls/buildings and this weird green glow in the sky. There was no track at all, it looked like the car were flying because they were perfectly lit up due to the lights on that course. I was going to take a picture, but before I did I wanted to see if I changed view to another car and back if it would be fixed. Unfortunately when I changed to another car the whole screen was blank except for the HUD etc!

I presume this is just a little one off glitch, but having been the first time i've seen one of my 24 hour races at night it may happen every time for all I know. It may also be due to the fact my PS3 has been on for like 10 days straight doing B-Spec.
