With the persistent flow of new people posting lap times, with tuners, racecars, and cars with "S" tires, I figured maybe there's a demand for a 2nd Nurburgring Challenge. One that allows Racecars, Tuners, and Road cars, on S tires.

Rules:
Standard OLR Rules Apply:
This means: Under no circumstances, are you allowed more than 2 tires off the track.
The Track is defined as follows:
Anything that is not: Grass, Sand, Dirt, etc.
Rumble Strips, Safety Concrete Slabs, and entire karrosuel sections, ok:tup:
Absolutly zero contact with walls permitted.
You Cannot Add Any Performance Parts To Any Cars! This Includes: Wings, Suspension, Transmission, Weight Reduction's, Brakes, NOS, And Any Power Upgrades.
You May, however, adjust anything that is adjustable STOCK
Oil Changes allowed. - Chassis Refresh is allowed - viewed in same catagory as oil change - Maintenance.

Road Cars: S2's are the only tires to be used. Also, you may adjust STOCK settings as you like, and feel free to share with your time.

Tuners: Nismo, Spoon, Trial, etc. S3's are the only tires to be used. Also, you may adjust STOCK settings as you like, and feel free to share with your time.

Racecars 700HP or under: Must use R1 Tires, this includes any racecars that are not LMP's, and FGT's, or the equivilent. Also, you may adjust STOCK settings as you like, and feel free to share with your time.

Racecars over 700HP: (includes Chapperal 2J) Must use R3's. Also, you may adjust STOCK settings as you like, and feel free to share with your time.

Please take note: Chapparal 2J Racecar is included with 700HP-over cars, due to it's speed. this is the only exception.
Kent's previous definition will prove here as well. If you're not sure what/where your car classifies, check in Arcade mode, there will be an icon in the top left of the screen, stating "tuner", or what catagory the car is in.
These descriptions may change a small bit, but the purpose is for JGTC, ALMS, DTM, & other like racecars, to be seperated from the LMP & FGT's.

Times may be posted now, it is open.
All racers without a replay device: Don't fret, feel free to post, but anyone with very fast times, and no replay's, will have an asterix* posted on the leaderboard, beside their time. Video replay is acceptable, if somebody verifies. I likely cannot, due to lack of software. If, in the event of a video replay, it is questionable, it will be considered dirty, so if your submitting via video, take notice now, no offense intended.👍
Racers with replay device: No need to post a replay, unless it is requested. Please save fast replays, so you can post them upon request. Anyone can request a replay.

It's up, it's out, Race!, Drive!, Post!

The Bentley Has 800, give or take about 10
Make sure you take full use of the R3's allowed

Is the Merceds on R1's?
time seems like, let me know.

Your roadcar times seem unmodified, which is good.

TUNERS: is for tuner cars, like Nismo, Opera, etc. Changed original post to clarify, sorry for any confusion.
No cars may be modified, however, oil change, and chassis refresh are ok, since they only keep the car in top condition.
wings, suspensions, anything else, is taboo.

Yes Anything that comes with S2's, is a roadcar.
S3's are Tuners

You can move the benely dont to the racecar section then.

Oh ok, I was on R1's I think, Ill try again with R3's

I like to keep most of the 300hp-ish car stock since I dont want to over power them. I have a 300hp NA tuned S2000 I want to try, maybe low 7 min. range:trouble:

Screwed around with the F1 today, got a 5:07...ran a 5:00 before, hoping for a 4:59 or better, once I get back in the groove with it...

7'44.753 - East - Honda Integra Typre R Touring Car

Gear Ratio was a little short, probably cost around 2 - 3 seconds down the long straight.

11'49.637 - Luca - Volkswagen Karmann Ghia
18'09.507 - Luca - Daihatsu Midget

What can I say, I got bored, and also sick of screwing up and having to restart. These slow cars are much, much easier to drive, although the Ghia did get a little tail-happy at times.

Also I feel fairly secure that no one will break these records since who would want to put around the 'Ring for 18 minutes in a Midget? But now that I think about it, that probably would sound like a challenge to many people here...

EDIT: I also decided to have a go in the iconic Jaguar E-type:

8'45.450 - Luca - Jaguar E-type

This is a scary car, but it's loads of fun to drive. The Jag obviously has the power necessary to take it to 100 mph and beyond (top speed is a rev-limited 145 mph, though in real life I know the car can do 150, and it could easily go that fast with a slight tweak to the gearbox in the game), but unlike newer cars, this one has an old suspension and old brakes. Over 100 mph, I had to be extremely focused and careful to keep the car from sliding off the road. The handling is fast but sloppy, with a good amount of oversteer. I was constantly afraid of messing up on my first lap, but my second one shaved more than 6 seconds off my time as I learned the car's limits.

I think I'll do more classic cars. They're lots of fun.

I will try the little cars tonite.

Edit:
How I love to drive these cars around the ring:D, here are my times.

10:56:667-AngelCreator-VW Karmann Ghia Coupe (Type-1) '68
17:35:945-AngelCreator-Daihatsu Midget '63

I like to drive cars with less than 100HP more than big LM cars, even if they take a long time:).

Cracked the 7-min barrier with the Saleen.
oil change, and S2's over N2's removes over 30 seconds!

6:56.838 - LeadSlead#2 - Saleen S7

(My N2-no oil time is 7:28 something)

Here's my go at the challenge

Road Car - TVR Cerbera Speed 12 - 7'00.225
Tuners - Mines Skyline GT-R N1 V-Spec - 7'35.140
Racecar Under 700HP - BMW M3 GTR - 6'40.730
Racecar Over 700HP - Jaguar XJR-9 Race Car - 6'14.026

Aaaargh....what a pointless revival of the thread. Check the date BEFORE you post, please.
