Nurburgring Race Series - Week 15 Results

Hi to all,

Im pleased to announce the results for week 15 of the NRS, The Toyota 7 race car 1970.​

This was quite a handfull, and just four of us managed to get it round in one piece to submit a laptime!

Well done to Goixoye who takes his first win of the contest 👍 with a storming time just holding off Appie17 in second place, I rolled in 3rd and VEXD takes fourth place this week. Congratulations To all and especially to Ronny on that win.

Onto week 16 with the Jaguar XJR9 race car and what a difference 18 years makes to a race cars behaviour, still a big challenge though, will be interesting to see how quick this car really is!

Just a quick note for anyone interested in the NRS Grand Final Week 17 which will be the Ruf Yellowbird, you will be needing a new car with no oil change, the rest of the details will be announced at the weekend when the main thread is posted, I hope to see some of you guys there to join us:tup:

Definitely pleased with the unexpected (and possibly undeserved) win 👍
Still not sure I feel real positive about needing to use the aids but they made a major difference in how fast this car could be gotten around the track. 3rd overall now!...but is that only because OnlyMe has dropped out? Can I ascend to 2nd?? Only if Dr Watson doesn't defend his position. NASCAR's point system rewards consistency and "participation" to a certain extent and in my case it's definitely paying off. I'm stoked that I've now grabbed an overall podium position in the 1st comprehensive 'Ring series.

Congrats and thanks to all who participated. These last few weeks of this series are with some of the most difficult cars in GT4 to drive. Some of them aren't easy to obtain either. Good work to all.

Appie17, I just barely nipped you at the line. That small of a difference is virtually immeasurable on a sector by sector basis. If we'd been competing head-to-head I'm sure the pressure would've caused me to lose it before completing the lap. Looks like I better get some more seat time in the Jag or you'll kick my tail. Dave and VEXD are better drivers than I am too so I'll be keeping one eye on the rear view mirror these last few weeks.

I'll post my replay later tonight just in case anyone is interested...I haven't done it too much (twice) so I'll need to re-learn how to do it. I've got a codebreaker so I'll need to convert the file to post it...anyway...

I had so much fun with this car I changed my avatar...and I HATE Toyota...I won't live long enough to own another one but that's a long story and not for gtp...I might forget my manners.

Now that is what you call pushing the limits Ronny!!

Are they the huge turbochargers you can see near to the exhausts?
