Hey guys. You know how they always have a mirrored or reverse of other tracks, deep forest etc... Wonder why they never mirror the ring. Sure everyone is use to the normal layout and dont get me wrong its a blast. Don't ya think it would fun a new challenge to try it backwards? (without the flashing wrong way symbol :yuck:)

Real tracks, like Laguna Seca etc. Are never run backwards because in real life all the run off areas and signage are set to assume one way. If the game allowed reverse directions it would have to reset all that stuff and it would then no longer be the same track. Not that it couldn't be done but I doubt the track owners would let you use the same name to identify it.

If you really want to know what it's like, just drive backwards on the normal course. If you want to know your time on it backwards, use a stopwatch. There's no way you could have a backwards race though.

Going up the corkscrew at Laguna Seca would be such a pain. And I'd never want to do the Nordschleife backwards, that's just sacrilegious to how many decades of racing on that hollowed motorsport ground.

A lot of tracks have a tight turn at the end of the straight, would be crazy reversed. Imagine fuji, suzuka, and sarthe. Coming out of a tight turn, straight, then sweeping turn. Wrong.

Actually, part of the Nürburgring Nordschleife is raced in reverse once a year, it's part of the Eifel Rally event.

Actually I run Fuji reverse a lot in Prologue. Lots of fun and it's possible to because it has plenty of run offs to run in real life.
