O.D. on heroin.

My friend, Jeremy, died a few nights ago because he overdosed on heroin. Words can't describe how bad I feel. I didn't really know him all that well, and I only call him 'friend' because he played basball. He was the nicest kid I knew; always helping out the freshman, and he respected everyone. He was also a phenominal baseball player; he could pitch, field and hit like no one else. It's sad to think that a person like this got involved with heroin. If you know anyone who even just tries any sort of addictive drug, with a possible exception to ciggarettes, get them help, because it hurts too much to lose them to something that dumb.

I'm sorry to hear that, but he shouldn't have messed with Heroin.

My condolences to you and his family.

Damn. Heroin. Now there's a drug you don't hear of someone using everyday. I'm sorry to hear it man. I've been in your shoes several times, but I was closer friends with the people. I've been losing friends left and right these days. All I can say is it gets easier as time goes by.

Damn. What's with all this bad s*** that GTP'ers have been going through lately?? Very sorry man, just hang in there. 👎

Sorry to hear of your loss, Cobb. Heoin is one serious drug. I'm sorry to hear you had a friend who ever got involved with it. Hang in there, dude.

That's what my parents said when they heard. What I don't get is how a kid like him could even get a hold of the stuff.

Sorry to hear that man, I know a few people who have done it. I dont know what I would do if one of my friends died from something like that.

Yes, herion is one very scary drug. Sadly I imagine i'm going to lose some kids I know before i'm through with my highschool too, just beacuse of plain stupidy and drugs. I'm suprised everyone made it through this year actiually. :( It's always a huge loss when you find out somoene with a great personality that was nice to everyone is lost, espically to somthing as stupid as that. I'm sure he will be remebered, and even though its a sad thing, at least its a pretty shocking example to other kids who knew him that might be into that kind of stuff

At least it was relativly painless and possibly quick, don't know because I've never looked into it. But I would say what he did was a far better death than smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol, much quicker with less suffering. But still, just try and get through this, and you should also learn from his mistake. Mr. Mackey was right, drugs ARE bad, mmmmkay?

what a nice guy...

would it really bother you that much to at least try to respect one of those 1000 though?

Idk I think if I was in cobb's shoes, I would understand what your saying, but it would still piss me off slighlty

I hear the worst part about being addicted to heroin is that once you're addicted you become physically sick without it. You basicaly sign your life away once you start. Yeah, it kinda pisses me off, but I see where he's coming from.

I'm glad tha mayonaise tastes good now get out of the tree trunk. My sympathy is gone so make do with an old sock I found under my bed.
If you're not interested in offering sympathy, then stay the hell out of sympathy threads. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMkay? It shouldn't have been that hard to think of all by yourself. Go away.

Cobbinator, you have my sympathy. I've never understood why people still start taking heroin, since everyone on the planet knows by now that you will not be able to control the habit, and that ODs are very common. You might convince yoursel about keeping a handle on somne other drugs, but heroin is pretty much a one-way street.
:(

I can't imagine what it must feel like to lose someone you trust and respect to something completely pointless, like Heroin. It can't possibly feel right, seeing someone like that die that way.

Sorry to hear it man. Dont let the good times fade away from memory.

My thoughts are with you too - try to think about all the positive replies you have (and not the not so positive ones). Read my sig - it cheered me up when I faced a similair situation a while back.

Police were in school while i was doing exams and arrested a girl with a small amount of heroin and some crack too. Its easy to get any drugs I would want from people at school. Its quite frightening.

Thanks, that really helped a lot. :)
