Doh! I guess I've been suckin' too many exhaust fumes...such is the life of a back marker ;)
 
First acceptable effort complete (after two misfires)...

AI definitely have the Pit advantage, and yet, I caught the lead AI on the last lap, just before the left dogleg before the last turn.

Fastest lap: 1:31.614

Had several 1:31's and a slew of 1:32's...

The tires seem to be just comin' into their own when I reach the mandatory pit...I could probably break into the 1:30's, otherwise.

Top speeds at the end of the main straight: 175 mph unassisted, 184 with a good draft opportunity.
 
GREAT Times NoQuarter!!!

:D In testing I tried a "1-Pit" strategy & had Laps 2-6 & 9-15 all in the 1'31s (So we ARE changing tyres before they reach their "Prime") but couldn't get into the 1'30s :dunce: I may need to try your set-up!!!

BTW: If you wonder why these guys are climbing up our "backsides" on the straight they've got 738 HP under their hoods/bonnets!!! :eek::eek::eek: ...UB57 :D

Might not be the best for most folks, but given my driving style, it works for me ;)

:D I'll give 'em a try for sure. I used my "Basic FR" set-up & never changed it except for the trans. I ride the "Rumblies" a LOT so have the shocks set on "Lite" to hopefully maintain contact with the Tarmac. Will post mine as well, "Maybe" they'll help someone with limited time this race...UB57 :D

Nice times guys. Hope I have time to get a clean run in. (I may not, but will try) I gave it quick go earlier. Fastest lap was a 1:30.7xx Did the whole 15 laps (to see what was required) and managed a victory. But the run wasnt quite clean enough for our 1 touch every 5 laps, alas :(

Have been driving with them the last hour or so. And they work wonders for me. I've cut a second of my laps, so now I actually manage to stay in contact until first pit stop.

After the pit stop. Well, sort of remind me of my childhood. During the oil crisis in 1973 we had car-free Sundays in Denmark. We used to go and play soccer on the deserted main roads into Århus. What a both strange and fantastic sensation. Hmm, I guess I need some really hard work in free run. :D

:D I just ran a race w/NoQuarter's set up & although I won it wasn't pretty! :yuck: MORE than enough wall contact but I suppose that's to be expected first time w/a new set-up. NoQuarter's gotta be gettin' thru the last turn quicker than me to utilize 6th gear at all. I'm just in it for a moment before I'm on top of my shut-off point for Turn #1! :eek:
Overall: A little better than mine thru T-1, about even @ T-2 & much slower beyond, but that's most likely because I can't get thru the last corner well w/TCS=1. Gonna try a "Compromise" between our set-ups & see what transpires. Stay tuned...UB57 :D

I'll try matchin' up your spring rate with the rest of my settings to see what it does for my "power drift" style at this track ;)
 
WOW!!! This is phun!!!

:D Added two "Dashes" of TCS & Lowered (Raised numerically) the Final drive to 3.800 & ran 8 seconds quicker. Still about 7 seconds behind my best Race w/My set-up but then I've run MY combo probably 8-10 times already!!! :eek: Can't wait to see some more input! :) ...UB57 :D

phun? I only overtook 3 cars!

Although I did manage to get a 1'31.5xx on lap 15. I just need to do that on lap 2 onwards now. 👍 Most laps were in the 33 - 34 range. I just need more praccy.

Running 1'31 your first time thru!?!?! :eek:👍:eek: You'll be beatin' 'em soon for sure. I think I actually bested them in testing w/out having a 1'31 Lap, but the non Start/Pit Laps were all in the 1'32s...UB57 :D
 
OK, managed to get myself a banker in. Fastest lap was 1:31.3xx. Bit annoyed I didnt make it into the 1:30s as I had a previous race with a clean 1:30.5 in it, but i grazed the wall twice in the second stint in that one :( Next run I took it more carefully to make sure of a clean run. Which i managed so thats something, should be an extra 0.5 sec average in there for me without too much trouble i hope.

If anybody wants my settings gimme a shout, didnt want to just stick em up as a) maybe nobody cares! and b) theres already a couple of good ones up.
 
Hey Bob, can you PM me the race info. I will run this if I can find the time, but I can't promise anything. I may have a few free hours tomorrow night, so we'll see:guilty:
 
here is where i stand so far: 1'31.3 (thats my best lap) however it is from free run and not the race itself. ill take a crack at the race tomorrow when i get home. night fellas and happy racing.

I had a couple of race attempts yesterday, and am very happy with my settup. Biggest problem is getting the slick pissed off the tires! ;) :) Nothing saved, but the MOV was ~30 seconds (ain't tellin' ya what my lap times are ;)). I'll post up my settings before IForce posts his off the wall stuff and screws up everybody!! ;) Hi JB :D

UB, I'll be trying a hybrid of the NQ/UB57 settings later this morning, then might give the Pokey one's settings a shot, as well.

Small RULES Adjustment:​

"ANY" combination of "AI" Opponents is acceptable. I "Found" a couple of different ones today but their "Winning Time" is virtually identical to the "Specified" Combo. So Go Ahead & RACE whoever shows up!!! 👍 ...UB57 :D
