Hi all! Last time I had any kind of tuning station, so to speak, was back in GT6. It's been a while, haha. Might as well teach myself how it all works again!

List of Tunes:
JEEP Willys MB '45 - Human Comedy Mission #6, Alsace One Hour (this post!)
Mazda Atenza XD L Package '15 - Human Comedy Mission #4, Kyoto One Hour
Nissan R33 GT-R V•spec '97 - WTC 700, all events
De Tomaso Pantera '71 - WTC 600, Tokyo Expressway

JEEP Willys MB '45 - Alsace 1 Hour, Human Comedy Mission #6

This Jeep has proven a little tricky to get figured out, but this tune should be sufficient to secure a win in place of a better car.

When driving, make sure you apply gas while braking. The car will become upset very quickly otherwise. The Jeep will gently start to drift in a few places. It is very, very easy to correct without sacrificing speed.

The Mission
The Jeep, despite having 207 HP with very little weight to push around, does not have enough top-end to out-drag any of the AI roster. The goal for the mission instead is to exploit the high handling that the Jeep has with the fat tires.

Once you get the hang of how the Jeep drives and take the race on for real, you should be able to get to 1st place by lap 6 or 7, but the AI is going to give you a lot of grief. Be very careful if an AI is right next to you as they won't respect your car being there. Expect the Mercedes to keep up with you for a couple of laps after you pass it.

Pit on Lap 11 for a full refuel and no tires, then pit again on lap 22 for a half tank and no tires. Fuel map 1 + rev to redline to keep the turbo spooled as the car doesn't have anti-lag.

Demo lap from the mission, FL 2:26.x. Avg lap approx. 2:28.

Enjoy the drive!

The Atenza is a car that a lot of people sleep on in GT7. About time that changed, yeah?

This build is modified from a touge tune I already created for this car. It responds well to different driving styles, but remember: brake early, and be ready for the understeer as this car chews up its front tires quite a bit. It's pretty stable, but if you can get it in the right conditions - near torque peak, if i'm not mistaken - you can get the rear to step out a bit.

Parts
19" BBS RI-D (Wide Rim, Wide Offset)
Type A Front Aero
Type A Side Aero
Custom Wing Set (Low Wing, End Plate Type 22)
Optional: Lightbulb Super Cool 9500K
Tire: Sports Hard

The Mission
You're gonna blow through the pack pretty quickly. If you aren't the cleanest driver and force your way through the pack, you can expect to be fighting for 1st place by the third lap. Otherwise, you'll want to take your time since the Mazda will overpower all of the other cars in corner exit alone.

Fuel Map 1. Shift however you please, the car doesn't care much. Pit at lap 11 (32 mins in) for tires, fill tank to 75-76%. Be prepared for exaggerated understeer near the end of the first stint. The behavior is a lot better in the second stint.

Demo lap from mission, FL 2:43.xxx, avg 2:47-2:48 if not a little slower.

Enjoy the drive!

Hello! I don't have any of the cars on the list yet (except the 432 Z, i think?), but I'll keep these in mind for when I get around to them. Did you have any tires/PP/tracks in mind?

Nissan R33 GT-R V•spec '97 - WTC 700, all events

A lot of fun working on this one. Super easy to drive stock and responds well to upgrades. Intended as a sort of surrogate Gr.4 car for all WTC 700 events. Works pretty well, too, as even on fuel map 6 it can keep up with even the fastest rabbit AI. It can get a little loose if you get too rough or sloppy with it, but I didn't really have any issues with it.

 Parts
Equip Widebody
Motegi Racing TOUGE (17 in., wide rims, wide offset)
Type A Front Aero
Type A Side Aero
Type B Rear Aero this is important
Type A Wing
Roll Cage Type C also important because it positively impacts pp and driving behavior very slightly

Racing: Hard tyres (but do also have IWs and Ws on hand, you need them for the longer events that have weather)

Torque-Vectoring Center Differential

The Missions
I only tested this in four of the WTC 700 races, but it should work for all of them. The notes below should help establish the strategy for endurance missions with this car.

WTC700 Dragon's Trail
Fuel Map 6, short shift as needed. Pit on lap 7 with race leader. No tires. overfill by ~ 1 lap. Fuel map 1 on final lap to style on AI
FL 1:37.8

WTC700 Red Bull Ring
Pit at lap 6. If rainy, swap to IWs. overfill fuel by 1 lap. FM6, short shift as needed. On Lap 8, switch to fuel map 1 to catch P1. You should catch him by the start of Lap 9. Once in the lead, fuel map 6 so you can make it to the finish line.
FL 1:36.4

WTC700 Deep Forest
FM 6, short shift as needed. Pit lap 6, overfill by 1 lap (~5 laps left in tank) Switch to FM1 once you reach back straight so you can reel in the P1 AI. Switch to fuel map 6 on lap 9 to save fuel & finish race. Be careful, you might run out of fuel right at the final turn. I did. I had to block the Viper AI.
FL 1:31.0

WTC700 Le Mans
FM6, short shift as needed. WATCH WEATHER RADAR. If a huge rain cluster is coming, pit on lap 3 for IWs and full refuel. Otherwise, full refuel lap 4 + no tires. If you get caught in the rain on slicks, the R33 will not survive the lap. If you have 2 laps of fuel left or more on the final lap, fuel map 1 to gain distance.
FL: 4:17.2

Unfortunately, no demo laps as I did these all in one go and I don't have the time to edit down three to four hours of footage. These are all long-game strategies with this car. As a final note, pay very close attention to the AI. They seem to be unable to process the speed difference and will try to speed up/rubberband to get away from you. This resulted in:
  • A BMW dive-bombing me at Deep Forest's hairpin
  • Three AI cars spinning at the exact same time at the second to last turn of RBR, with a fourth having to stop and the leader rocketing away from the mess
  • Multiple AI just flat-out failing at Gardens' chicane.
This car should excel in the WTC700 menu.

Enjoy the drive!

That Atenza is great! I haven't done the Comedy event yet, but it's great for the Tsukuba Clubman Cup+ event. Really lays down the power out of the turns. I got a fast lap just short of 1:01xxx, and that was with the wrong gears for the track.
