Obtaining cars through Secret Menu?

Is it possible to unlock cars in GT5 via the secret menu?

For me it seems that I can only register them, but they do not show up in arcade mode nor GT mode.

If it is possible to add cars via the secret menu, then that would make the stealth/chromeline cars accessible to everyone.

Does anyone know how to do this?
