Start of by stating I havent driven my rig since before the dlc was released for gt5. Once the poll for csr:e community testing was closed I decided to start work on a new way to reverse mount my CSP in my rig, or floor mounted. Also working on a new harness for wiring of the pedals.

Sooo, for a few weeks my rig was apart and I had the board off the pedals as they were getting carried around alot and I didnt want to damage it.

Yesterday, my niece was over and wanted to drive. Cool, everythings good to go, back exactly how I had it pre project. Fire up gt5 get set and ready to race. No pedal response whatsoever. Pull the board, check the wiring etc all looks good. reboot everything. same issue. IDIOT MOMENT! Pedals wereplugged into the shifter port. dummy!

Alright, try again. Get her into race, green flag, go. NOPE!! She punches the gas, car drops to neutral. WTH! Ok mayb I plugged the pedals into the board as marked instead of reversing gas and clutch for use in the vertical position. Again, of with the board, check all wiring. nope. Gas is plugged into clutc, clutch to gas. Now, at this point Im baffled and start checking all the solder on the pcb, all looks good. Screw the board back on to the pedals and reboot the wheel. Start a race and same thing happens. green flag_gas_neutral........... OK, she pulls over and I hit the clutch with my hand.....IT REVS!!! I turn the wheel off, remove the pcb and plug the pedals in EXACTLY AS MARKED, reboot the wheel and everything works normal.

I am utterly confused as to why my pedals have to be plugged in "properly" now.
Just incase you havent researched hanging pedals, when you flip them, the gas and clutch pedals get reversed so you need to switch the position of the wires on the board. Figure id throw that out there before I get the DUH OF COURSE THEY NEED TO BE PLUGGED IN PROPERLY responses:sly:

Oh just to show the hanging project before some design changes. Pedals are not where the woulbe be as driving and threre is a couple pieces that are not shown as I found a design flaw before making them and pretty much need o redesign a key function.

Haha, same thing happened with me when I inverted my pedals. When I read the thread title I got a little scared for a second. Noooo! Caz's pedals have gone!

I love that mount for the pedals, I'm surprised mine works actually. I would take a photo, but my room is dark in general, and it just gets even darker with my escape function built into my rig! Looks like bundles of adjustability too!

I dont get why the wires have magically switched now.

Thanks on the mount. It has about 2 inches height,4 inches forward/back and endless angle. Just had issues with the locking mechanism, cant get it as simple as i want it to be, so I backed away for now.

I think CSPs "brain" doesn't care about PCB slots but it does care about spring resistance.
For example if clutch spring is on the throttle CSP will think it's clutch there and vica versa.

Or am I just missing the point here...anyways I'm glad your problem's sorted out.
Great mount by the way, 👍 for that.

Pcb slot absolutely matters.
What gets me is they were previously hung and the wires were switched and working fine. For some reason that changed, curious now if having the pedals plugged into the shifter port on the wheel did something to the pcb.
Im not overly concerned about it as its working 100%.

Thanks on the mount. Thinking about getting back at it and finishing the original locking design. See what happens and if a simple fix is feasable or an entire adjustable point is needed to be designed.

You left everything else in place, right? You didn't by any chance swap the hall effect sensors too, did you? If so, perhaps the pedal ID is programmed into the sensor.

Or, judging by that reanimated pimp chalice, you've been engaging in the Dark Arts. I have no troubleshooting experience in that department.
