Hey all,
Had an odd lag while doing the Indy endurance race today. It's actually happened twice on this track. Anyway, I was using my Formula GT to race it. I set the max speed to 410. I had the thing tuned so perfect I was smiling the entire 2 hours and 23 minutes of racing. So, I'm ripping up the track, (average of 237 on the straights and 225 in the corners) never even having to take my thumb off the gas, even going through the corners at 225 mph. Well, on lap 32, as I'm coming out of turn 1, the car slowed down to almost a complete stop but the sound stayed at the same pitch. I took my finger off the gas, and tried to turn left and hit the brake but nothing happened. Then, just as quickly as it slowed down, all control came back(hit the wall at 222 mph,crunch). Anyway, just as I came out of turn 2, I heard a "bading". And what do I see? A trophy icon appeared in the top right of the screen. Boy was I shocked to find out I got the "Human Stop Watch" trophy. I remember seeing this trophy listed and saw what it took to get it and thought to myself, 'psshh, yeah, THAT'S gonna happen!' 3 consecutive laps each within 2/10's of second from your fastest lap?? What?! Well, without even thinking about it, I was able to pull it off...I thought to myself, damn, I really did tune the car just right, and was able to be thoroughly consistent with my lap times and style. To bad I cracked up the front of my brandy new FGT. Oh well, at least I won and got another trophy. yay for me
I noticed that races lag just as you acquire a trophy. Has anybody else had this happen to them?
