Odd Permanent Glitch

So I was driving my Prius in the 430 pp FF seasonal, when all of a sudden the car stops working as it should. When I press the accelerator, the RPM do not go up to the usual 5000, but instead start building up very slowly and the car accelerates extremely slowly as well. I tested it in Route X, and the RPM only hit a maximum of around 2750. If my speed goes below 70 kph and I don't accelerate (lift off), the RPM go down to 0 and the car goes silent. I have tried turning off the game, switching cars, and it is still the same.

Well that did the trick. I guess the fact that it shuts off below 70 kph is normal though. Does it still classify as a glitch? And the car still feels a little eerie somewhat.
 
He said switching cars didn't change it,I'm leaning towards a controller/pedal problem. Is it indicating full accell on screen?

Not a glitch, but intended by the developers.
 
The prius runs on battery power until it is depleted. When running on battery power the batteries will re-charge a little bit every time you idle and brake. Once the batteries are depleted the motor kicks in which is much slower. Keep an eye on the battery meter and try to lift early at the end of straights, downhill and into turns to preserve the battery.
