Well, just remind her that you'll be driving less than half the speed of these guys, and your car isn't equiped with razor's edge areo-dynamics which when inverted act like an airplane wing, soaring higher and higher into the sky.

Your car, is in fact, a piggy slug by comparison.

I was reading, about this guy, in some site, I heard he had some major back injuries, and in the picture he was in a wheelchair. Not sure if he was paralyzed though.

Still doesn't matter, earlier this year we nearly lost a Spec Miata driver after a side impact going maybe 40-50 MPH. Keep thinking safety is all about the speed, there are many other variables to consider.
