As some of you might know,my girlfriend and I love Eleanor the 67 Shelby GT500. Eventually we will build one but for now we just have a 67 mustang coupe.
I want to make an inspirational thread full of Eleanor goodies. Pics, videos, anything for Heather and I to look at. Some of you get to surf a lot and I thought mabey this is something you could do if you get bored or if you already have stuff saved on your computer. I found a web page recently where a guy purchased one of the Eleanor clones and he has information and videos of his car. He also has a page dedicated to Eleanor pics and videos from the Gone in 60 Seconds video. I will try and post some of the Eleanor information that I have but hopefully some of you fans of the car will have some info too. :)
You can also post links and pics to GT350's and the regular 67 Fastbacks.
As the thread gets more links I will add them to the first post.
1. http://www.ramspeed.nl/index.asp (videos and pics of an actual Eleanor owner)
2. http://www.uniqueperformance.com/ (where most are built)
3. http://customfastbackca.com/EleanorHome.htm

Eleanor's a hell of a car. If only the more prominent members of our Gran Turismo Comunity would just consider Kaz putting in Movie Cars.

By the by, i like the FOOSE's grille. the rest of the car can have the other kit's bodywork.

and Shelby/SVT underpinnings. XD

The new Eleanor is sick too! Thanks for the pics I will keep trying to add to this thread when I get a chance.
Heather and I will probably be visiting this thread a couple times a day.

the complete cars range from $47,300 - $73,940

i still think you should put the kit on heathers car 👍

After looking at the pics you posted in the Project Gotham theread, I was really thinking about it. Those coupes can look really really good with the body kits. But I still have to get a Fastback some day. I always stick to my word. :)
The funny thing is we are starting to build her coupe right now so we can run it on the raod course at Grattan June 30th 2006. Heather got addicted after a couple laps with me last friday at Gingerman raceway.

...What series are you running at Grattan? I might have to stop out, assuming of course I'm not at work...

We will be with a private party that rents the track for the day. Usually at least 40 cars. Passengers are free and spectators are free. We just did this at Gingerman raceway on friday 4/14/06. There are 2 more events coming up.
May 11th we will be there but I will just ride in my friends 69 Camaro.
June 30th we will bring either Heathers 67 Mustang, my 69 Camaro or if we have the money both cars. Hopefully heathers so she can drive on the track for the first time. I will try to keep everyone updated on our events in the thread I made over here. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=62513
I wasnt sure if I should make a new thread for the events or not so I just talked about them in that thread.

God what a great track. I used to race there on their wednesday night bike races (thats a pedal bike, it's a long story), and it always seemed like a great track to take the car out on. I used to drive out there during the week and watch some of the private races or some of the testing done by GM and the like...

That front straight makes for some interesting races... Make sure your G/F knows where the break is, I've seen quite a few cars go off the track at the entrance to turn one (BMW M3 comes to mind...).

Yes it is a great track. I went there about 5-6 years ago with an autocross group when I had my 96 Formula. Awesome track. From that day forward I dreamed of bringing my 69 Camaro out. That straight is 1/2 mile long. You can get some serious speed on that. Her Mustang is quite slow so we will be taking it easy and the group we will be with will respect and watch out for her.
EDIT: I sent you a PM.

Those wheels look sick on there!!! I think those wheels look better than the original wheels that are on Eleanor. I really like that hood too.
