I've just read a Q&A on the EU Playstation blog about GT PSP. The last question was the most interesting (and disappointing).

Q: Cmon fellas…GT5 Prologue update? Eh, eh? Custom soundtracks? Maybe trophies, a lobby system? Screenshot function? - FoomMan
A: Sorry FoomMan, we’re around the bend and down the straight: the team’s main focus at this point is making sure GT PSP (and GT5) are in your hands.

It doesn't mean never, but any sort of Prologue update in the next few months (or perhaps before GT5 is released) seems very unlikely now.

Well, that sucks for all of you guys who were wishing for a Spec IV, all of you thousands.

Am I surprised? Not in the slightest. Especially as I recall saying this would happen way back when the Spec 3 update came.
I would much rather see PD focus on getting the full, finished games out rather than updating a game-demo-thingy which is well over a year old now.

Could be True. Better if that happens then GT5 will come sooner........OOOps did I say sooner??? I meant quicker-faster-soon....you know what I mean.

Seems very logical... why waste their time updating a year old "Demo" ... I mean it would be nice for us, but totally unimportant if that means theyre working on the GT games so they come out sooner... :D

Well "around the bend and on the straight" means theyre pretty much coasting with the checkered flag ahead, which means GTPSP (confirmed for October) but also GT5 should come soon.

OMG Quick! Someone start a new thread about this news!!!!:dopey:

I should get some updates first :D

To be updating a Demo for me sounds strange, getting work on the actual GT5 game seems more logical.

Fine by me, just get GT5 in my hands as soon as possible. :D

Doesn't bother me in the slightest, the only way I'm getting my hands on more muscle cars and possibly Holdens is GT5, that's all I want right now.

All I really want is Holdens in my garage
V8s on my race track-------
Torque at my feeeeeet.

, that was in song by the way, with changed lyrics to the real song.:sly: I don't know the real song's name.:dunce:

I agree with Paulie! GT5P has helped us forget, about GT5 for awhile! Now it is time for the real thing!! So bring it on already PD!!:sly:👍

PS. Change the Holden to a Ford, and i would agree with you 100% Paulie!!:sly::sly:

How I feel depends on GT5 release date. If GT5 is released this year then I think it's justified and am happy about it. If it isn't then the fact that all the updates rarely actually added anything despite how they promised how they're adding actual good stuff through the updates and didn't deliver is going to pour out.

Why would you still need a team of people to work on something that "you could release whenever you want"? Let me put it this way, if KY were an elected official and nearing the end of his term, would you re-elect him based on what he has actually said he was going to do? Hmmmmm ....

no

So do this include event updates? Without those my PS3 would be on the receiving end of a Randy Savage leg drop, lol.

Of course you would. They havent let you down before and they have delivered before with ground breaking games, given you a teaser of what their next step is and it should be coming within the year...

I personally find it good that they arent bothering with GT5:P anymore. If there was going to be another update, it could well be changing physics for the final game. Think if we got Spec IV and the physic were like Spec II.... They would have to revisit this again, putting the release date further back!

If they are at the final stages of the full game and giving it all their attention then a quicker release date will be made from it. I can see alot of DLC coming with GT5 👍

You think it's good that they aren't botherings with GT5:P anymore? See that's the thing that I'm upset about, it seems like they never did bother with it in the first place. All the additional stuff seemed like a brief after thought that probably took less then 5 mins of actual work to change.

The event updates will almost certainly continue every month like now.

I think it's normal and actually desirable that there will be no more updates for GT5p.
IMO GT5p was always meant as a huge test tube for the real GT5. After spec I, spec II, spec III, PD has learnt enough (I hope :)) to make a fantastic GT5 so there is no point in dedicating more resources to improve GT5p. Their resources have better use hurrying GT5 out.
Bring on GT5!

Agreed :)

Did you play Spec I, Spec II and Spec III??? The difference in physics is very noticeable... the PP system got overhauled... we got 3 new cars and tire physics was changed as well... So to say they never bothered in the first place is kind of short sighted... GT5:P is already more then a year old... Of course it would have been nice to get more updates and private rooms etc. But I think now it makes no difference and Id rather have them bring out GT5 sooner rather then later because theyre still busy updating a year old test "demo."

I have a feeling we might get some very small updates as PD test final little things out but nothing major like new tracks, cars, physics models etc.

How about a fixed PP system?:dopey:

That's a VERY BIG IF there Jack. IF that were true GT5 would be coming out BEFORE GT Mobile. My guess is that there is a push to get the new PSP out the door before X-Mas and what better way to sell it than with GT Mobile. Which means GT5 is NOT being given ALL their attention. No excuse for not releasing GT5 within 12 months of Spec III hitting - if he were in a real corporate environment, he'd be fired.
