Well after a few years of talking about it, the merger is going to happen. As Western Canada we held our own and won 2 seasons since I have been a member. Eastern Canada is a powerhouse in it's own right. We will have a rather large club after the merger happens ...

For those that may not have heard, Eastern and Western Canada are officially merging during week 13 at the end of season 1.

This merger will also apply to the World Cup for 2013. Finally you will be able lay your national pride on the line for a unified Club Canada.

The 2013 World Cup Qualifying is starting up in just a few weeks, will you be ready to help your club? Speaking of helping your club,

Chris Seymour is the Club Canada Captain and will be in contact with you all soon, you can PM him here - http://members.iracing.com/jforum/pm/sendTo/29069.page

Remember the World Cup (unlike most other events) is a true team event and the team needs drivers of all skill groups to contribute. For more information on the Cup, see the links below.

Special club events and head to head matches to keep you hungry for more club racing.

Celtic and England clubs need to be merged to make a UK Club because the Celtic club is basically the same country as England because the countries included in the Celtic club are Scotland, Wales and Ireland. However there is a low number of Celtic guys out there, so we never really stand a chance in the World Cup, or region standings.

We do however have Desmond Foley (European GT Academy Finalist) topping the club standings.

Any of you guys know how the region club championships work? Ive never really looked into it, but I noticed the other day my club, Carolina Club, has won every region 1 club championship since Ive been on iracing so 6 region 1 championships in a row .

Well I've been at iRacing for almost 2 years now and it seems every season we are in a different group. I guess it's iRacing trying to get the clubs matched up. It would be nice if they had the standings visible for all the members to see.

I just got a pm from the Carolina club rep and its says that iracing is doing away with the world cup events? That now they said it will be continued on but not an official race anymore but through hosted sessions. Is this something new? Like I said before I dont bother keeping up with the different club races and world tour stuff but thought that was interesting and didnt know if anyone else got pms about it.

Carolina freakin dominates the standings mainly due to it being Nascar Nation. Ive been racing for Carolina this entire time, but recently moved back home to Georgia so ill be switching to my home state from now on.

I wasnt aware there was a world cup in iracing, this sounds fun. I also got a PM from a Zachary Morris? Hmm i wonder if...

If I get the content I may try the World Cup this year. The New Jersey club could have joined the Atlantic Club. I honestly think we should have joined them. We do not have enough activity and not enough members to sustain on our own. Our club forums are empty and nobody posts in them.

Now I have to look out for the Canada club now. New powerhouse.

Yeah carolina does so well in those club standings because of all the oval guys. Im sure that's why we won every region 1 championship, whatever that is, since Ive ever been on iracing. That's the same pm I got to from Zachary and I thought the same as you .

Good luck Canadians, you'll need it.

Team UK&I is supposed to be a merger between the England and Celtic teams, iRacing announced we would be merging, in May last year, and we are still waiting.....

I know right, the good thing is because the community is so small, everybody seems to know eachother and help eachother out, but still, it sucks to not be in the running for the World Cup.

There are many excellent racers from Eastern Canada, in fact some of the records haven"t been beat in several years which are held by Canadians. Don"t be so quick to judge, perhaps it is your team that will need that luck. :)

World records in iracing dont really mean much seeing as how the physics and tire model gets changed so much. Your competing against times that where set in a game that handels completely different than it did when some of the records where set.

I think he was meaning the luck in getting it done Darren.

Yeah for sure. I wish they would either reset them at each season or do away with them all together cause they dont really mean anything due to the tire and physics change each season like you said. Some of those times are from who knows when like when there was the OTM.

I got the same message, it's a grand idea but overall most people who want to do it can't.
