I got a a 3.0L car, you got your exhaust manifold, downpipe, the a flexpipe...guess what? after the downpipe, it completly broke into 2 seprate pieces, now I got a drag-mante and its louder than hell....wtf can i do to muffle it for the meantime? I was thinkin of goin to home depot and buying that alluminum sheets and wrap it around and use he-man strentgh to tie 2 pieces of hose clamps...u think itll work?

Don't drive it.

This is the Diamante? You're mom's car? Holy magoly you're gonna have some splanin to do when she gets home(by my count that's Friday is it?).

Umm...hmm...you could try conecting the 2 pipes with a clamp of some sort...don't use rubber or plastic, that'll turn the Diamante into a Smellamante, my mom hit a garbage bag down the highway a while back with the MPV, it totally melted on the muffler, and that smell was sick and didn't go away for months.

Dude, stop abusing your mom's car man! hehe the power steering and now this? What's next?! :)

My vavles hit the piston! the hole car is ruined!

jk, heheh

This car, the Diamante...is going to be mine in like a couple weeks...its a long story but we switched cars when we got the diamante for insurance reasons..so technically the diamante is mine, but its under her name...and im driving her **gulp** escort for the mean time...but anyways , its NOW that the diamante starts ****ing up when we are about to switch the cars :(

It'll work for a while. Try a tin can to cover the break, then wrap a repair kit around it. They sell stuff for that purpose. You may need to hang it somehow. Wire hangers work good.

Ah memories... :)

*tsk* You broke the flexpipe? [chrisfarley]What's you do?![/chrisfarley] :D

You can find exhaust patching kits at any auto parts store. Shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks.

hmm, this think the exhaust pathing kit if just for little holes in your exhaust pipes..My exhuast is snapped in 2 pieces...here let me throw u guys one of my famous drawings for a better explaination :D

O...

Well, you could always go to a junkyard and buy another flexpipe for cheap. It shouldn't be hard to replace (assuming the bolts aren't frozen :D ).

EDIT, oh, you broke the downpipe....you're screwed. :p

Time for a one piece 4-2-1 header. :)

and now a more detailed look

I couldnt resist with the anime style explosion :D

So just draw in the fix... and maybe in some magical way, everything will be fused together on the car. All these pictures are great, you should go into graphic arts.

On a serious note, I would go with the junkyard idea, then maybe get someone to cut and weld.

Nah, since ima get the car any im gonna put the ultimate 3 inch exhaust...since ima add a turbocharger to it anyways...might as well start now
