I thought I was going to be cool and start a fresh game (after achieving 100%, mind you) by waltzing through the Arcade races and winning the Esperante. Unfortunately I had forgotten it was not the Arcaded races but rather the Time Trials. When I finished the races and received no messages about winning a car I was a bit confused. So I searched around on the game and found nothing in my garage. Then I check GTP's "Ultimate GT3 Prize Car List" only to realize I was mistaken and had a lot more work to do.

WHY ME!?! I need a break from electronics for a while. They seem to all hate me right now.

Well at least you didn't have to do the time trials with permanent TCS and ASM. Stupid Japanese version.

Without TCS and ASM the TT's are a brease, I even find the Complex string TT easy now. Mainly because I know the track so well, I think that's the key to passing that one.
 
I'm restarting my game soon too. It'll be 6th time. I wanna make sure I win, and keep a certain few cars I want this time. Like the AE86 S.S. I had to sell it this game to fund my race cars.
 
I have been stuck on the last TT for who knows how long now....

I did the same thing tho. ran and blitzed the arcade and waited for my gleeming prize!

anyhow, after well... so long that i cant remember (well since i bought my ps2) gt3 is nolonger in the ps2. it has been replaced with wrc2 :D
 
The first time I was using the DS2. This time around I'm going to use the GT Force Wheel exclusively. And I'm also going to try it with TCS and ASM disabled on all my cars.

An additional goal is to complete as much of the game without spending money as I possibly can. I think there are a few cars that will need to be purchased, and just a few instances where I'll need to modify cars for performance gains. Other than that I'll be able to use cars I win as my only garage.

Actually, I think LoudMusic is on NTSC, which means he does have permanent ASM/TCS of the Trials. I could be mistaken about where he lives, though.
 
It is true, NTSC for me. I just started the Time Trials. We'll see how it goes.

Oh, so it's both NTSC versions that do that.

I was totally like 'oh yeah i'm going to whip these time trials and get me that Panoz' but then the driving aids slowed me right down.

To tell the truth the TCS isn't really the problem, it's just the bloody ASM. The traction control rarely came into use, but every time I pushed the car a little too hard through the corner the ASM would kick in and just understeer me right off the apex.
 
I'm taking my time with the time trials because I seem to do better when I don't take all of them on at once. After that all I need to do is buy all of the cars for the cups with restrictions.
 
At least you have the two bonus endings to watch now.

I just finished the Arcade Mode myself, so if ya need help with something, just ask. The NTSC version of GT3 didn't allow you to turn of that traction control crap, which I hated very much. I hope PD changes this in GT4.

i have the tcs of but asm on... might have to try asm off...
 
Don't worry, the TTs aren't too hard. You'll eventually finish them and sell the Panoz...or keep it if you want to collect all the cars (saves you 1,500,000 later ;))
 
Well, I'm working hard on my Time Trials. But I can't beat the FOURTH ONE. I mean. Really. Have I grown to suck or what?

This may be more difficult than I intended.

Just wait until you reach the last three TTs...they are absolute killers! The 8th and 9th particularly gave me trouble...I suck at the rally license tests.
 
yup,the first ones are easy... the last three well...
10is still giving me gip!
 
i found all the TT's to be easy (i have PAL version and from what i heard they have slower times) and i did all of em in about 1hr 30mins
 
I hvent tried the TT's all that much. I gave the first one a bash and I think I may have beatin it I dunno.

Does it tell you if you've beaten it?
 
look in the records and if your name is at the top then you have beaten it otherwise you have not
 
Hmm. I think I might've. w00t.

I feel like going and playing right now, but it is 12:20am here, I should go to bed.
